As Ramon Calsina Foundation we have made five exhibitions in five years using the pictures from the foundation, entities, official organizations and particular collectors in El Vendrell, Menorca, Santa Perpètua de la Mogoda, Sant Cugat del Vallès and L’Espluga del Francolí and we have done all this with our own economic resources. But we are outside from the sales channels and we have been redressing imbalances of the budgets with our own economic support.
Now we are in a very ambitious project and we are going through very difficult times, both economically and culturally speaking that why we need some help to complete the contribution made by the foundation.
So that is why we have thought in all of you and we have created this Verkami.
We take this opportunity to show you a very powerful reason. We would like to pay homage to essential characters of our culture, not just painters but also other artist from the literature world, all of which felt attracted to Ramon Calsina’s art.
Calsina established strong complicity and friendship bonds with them. All of these artist felt attracted to his brimming over imagination and his way to express by images what only seems that can be expressed by words.
Avel•lí Artís Gener (Tísner), Pere Calders, Joan Oliver (Pere Quart), Xavier Benguerel, Gerard Vergés, Salvador Espriu, Joan Triadú, Jordi Sarsanedas are some of the ones who expressed their affinity, admiration and friendship for his artwork and his attitude as an artist.
We believe that this is also a good moment to make a heartfelt appreciation to all of those who did so much for the culture in such a hard time and had made a solid base in our culture and to whom we owe so much as a nation.
If you support us we would be able to make real the exhibition for this autumn in an excellent place called Cultural Centre of Terrassa, which have a fantastic exhibition rooms not only for the dimension and the quality but also for its visibility.
The budget for this project it is bigger than the amount we have suggested.
If we reach the figure, we will earmark the money for printing the catalog. It is a book of sixty pages in color, 600 copies, which contain an explanation about the sense of the exhibition and it is shown about sixty works.
In case that the required amount will be reached or overtaked the remaining money would used to defray the cost of the video and sound from the artist, the transport and the restoration of the work, as well as the own expenses that the crowdfounding project generates.
7th October 2014: the end of crowdfunding.
October 2014: print the catalogs and prepare the exhibition. We also going to get in contact/touch with all of you to give them the reward and send you the invitation.
30th October 2014: The grand inauguration.
From the 1st November 2014 to 5th December 2014: Exhibition in course.
We have planned to give the rewards the day of the inauguration, as we said 30th October 2014, to which we hope you can attend and which would be a big party.
If you are not able to come that day, let us know it, and we will get in touch with you to give you your rewards.

Taking advantage that we are in the middle of the term, we would like to encourage you to participate with new rewards.
You can choose between two tickets to visit the MNAC museum, where you will see for first time, an exhibition of the works from Calsina in the new room dedicated to the Catalan art.
You also can choose a ticket with a guided visit to the "tower of dreams", the recent reopen of the Torre de les aigues del Poblenou ( Water tower of Poblenou) a symbol in the artwork of Calsina. The tour consists in a guided visit, a morning of a weekend, to the top of the tower, where you can see unique sights of the coastline and also from the city. It is a good ocasion to learn about the history of this symbol.
