What does it happen when you have no idea about fallas? Do you know fallas? Are you fallero? If Fallas are the best world’s festival, why haven’t they been declared a World Heritage? Why aren’t we able to manage the problems that affect us as a group and that play us against our neighbours? What does Fallas mean? Party? Firecrackers? Drinking? Do we evolve with Fallas?
FALLAS EVOLUTION
About three million years ago an ape stood up and walked some steps changing Natural History forever. About fourteen years ago “Falla Plaça Jesús” made a pallets’ falla (monument) and changed our own history.
It could seem peculiar that, being called “FALLA PLAÇA JESÚS”, we talk about Evolution, instead of Creationism. But we think that everything in live has it’s way, that nothing comes out of nowhere, nothing spontaneously grows...
In A.C. Falla Plaça Jesús we support a falla that values artist’s conception, visitor’s active participation and social awareness. With projects that go beyond, we try to create a footprint in the spectator’s mind.
WITHOUT FORGETTING OUR ORIGINS
And without forgetting our origins as a specie, as a festival, as a group, revisiting our ideas, learning from our mistakes and taking full advantage of each idea that just as the Phoenix, rises from the ashes each march 19th… we arrive to “Evolution I Homo”.

And working with us, Jose Lafarga, a well known falla’s artist from the special section, will build the monument. We are a really small Falla, not from a wealthy neighbourhood, we have no funding, but we have lots of ideas. There is only a reason for Jose Lafarga to support us: our project. AND THE RESULT IS
Your contributions will be destined for the design, manufacture and “plantà” (to set up) of our ideas translated into a monument that will be shown on the 15th of march. In return, we offer you an enormous variety of rewards that will make you enjoy with us.
TIME SCHEDULE
The production schedule is simple: the monument will be finished and standing in our Jesús square during the night of the 15th of march, and it will be burned during the night of the 19th of march.
Most of the rewards will be delivered during Fallas Festival week, except the hard copy annuary (llibret), that will be delivered to you on the day of its presentation (in february).
