WHAT AND WHY?
“Il tesoro nascosto tra gli alberi” is a theatre project with scientific purposes whose dual aim is to disseminate the culture of performing arts and to rise the awareness of important environmental issues with primary schools children…obviously having fun!
A treasure hunt set in the future looking for a way to save the world devastated by pollution. Will the two little heroes succeed in their huge intent?
“Il tesoro nascosto tra gli alberi” is a play that deals with important environmental topics, such as the climate change, in a scientifically correct way (with the supervision of expert biologists) and prepare the children to receive the message with curiosity and enthusiasm thanks to an adventurous story, a clear language, dance, music and stunning visual effects.
It is our belief that theater can create an affective bond between the children and the educational contents that are proposed; we think it is useful to transmit environmental education skills through performing arts so that the message could reach easily this particular audience and consequently encourage changes in attitudes and behaviors both at individual and collective level.
HOW, WHEN AND WHERE?
In harmony with the philosophy of the project we want to point out that the play’s sets will be made mostly from recycled materials and at the same time we intend to follow a sustainable approach in all the aspects of his development.
Together with the play, just after the show, we will organize a small workshop for children with the help of experts, just to get more involved and to interact with the world of ecology and environmental protection.
This is a project we really believe in! With your help we wish to set two opening shows for spring season:
The first one sunday 5 of may, in Cantalupo in Sabina at S. Adamo (open air)
The second one sunday 16 of june, in Rome at Teatro Cometa Off, with two shows, one for the afternoon and one for the evening.
We will also invite the schools of the neighborhood looking forward to start a process of diffusion of these important themes in the schools.
