Survival Horror Space - PC/MAC
The “Brainside” team, formed by developers initiated at the “Video games room” from the Universidad de Sevilla, has been working for some time in the creation of “Embrión”.
We present a classical “Survival horror” themed video game, set in a Scifi universe with old style (Blade Runner, Alien, Dune).
We expect to recover the strength of this genre, offering the player a total immersion, thanks to the Unity 3D motor, latest technology at video game development. It has a really care visual aspect, innovative mechanical and a screenplay that keeps up with legendary TV series as “Lost” or survival ones as “The Walking Dead”.
“Embrión” is the ultimate test our main character “Hans Stuart” will have to overcome to survive to the Universe loneliness. After a spectacular accident with “Providence”, his spaceship, the Bionic Intelligence system that controls the ship (E.V.A), indicates that the only possible place to repair it is “Salyut XIII” (Scientific space base), which is located in the only possible route before the ship gets destroyed.
“Embrión” offers the player a first person experience, an Interfaz without indicator menus, just the player and the environment. Everything happens at real time, and you will have just a few objects to help you in your nightmare, a lantern and your intellect, though this one may be paralyze because of the horror that hides every zone of the huge place where you are. You will be starving and thirsty, and you will be even able to contract a disease or an infection that you'll have to cure just with the few resources that each location may have. It's essential to take these factors in account, as they will be vital. You will spend several days before finding a scaping way (If you find it), or need to take refuge to let your mind rest... Though dangers always stalk.
We are creating a complex universe, with interlaced stories. Everything will make sense inside “Embrión”, a big question will decide the evolution of its destiny.
These kind of initiatives are hardly ever supported by private investors. Platform Verkami offers us the opportunity of developing free content, without concessions to publishers that may contaminate the originality of the project. We will only respond to you as direct contributors of the initiative.
Our relationship will be very close, thanks to Verkami and the crowdfunding platform. We can be more transparent about the progress and offer direct information about “Embrión”. You will see programmers, designers and artists effort, how they work day by day. We have planned lots of extra content, a blog, information at social networks as Facebook, Twitter, chats... We are going to have much fun together.
We know we are asking for more than many other projects made in Verkami or even Spain. This is because we are not just developing a video game, we are creating a whole universe. All of the artistic content and the screenplay, chronology and defined characters, 3D animation process and every dialogue fully spoken by an impeccable technical team. This work can only be done with quality parameters at a professional level and a large team.

Estamos deseando mostrar alguna imagen ingame. Pronto os mostraremos el trabajo de modelado y algunos escenarios construidos y en breve tendremos una demo técnica. Es un trabajo duro y laborioso, contamos con pocos recursos aun para acelerar parte de los procesos de creación y somos muy perfeccionistas, no queremos mostrar nada que no este acorde con la calidad final del proyecto.

Realmente desarrollar un videojuego de estas características es muy costoso. Necesitaremos comprar licencias de software, equipos para diseño gráfico, trabajar en un local adecuado (nada de lujos...) y sobre todo crear empleo (que falta hace en el país), seremos más de 15 personas trabajando en el proyecto, si calculas que el diseño y desarrollo durará aproximadamente 14 meses, sabrás que andaremos muy justitos. Somos muy serios en este aspecto y no queríamos engañar a nadie a la hora de valorar el coste final, nos llevó mucho tiempo crear un plan real y viable sobre "EMBRION".

¿En qué usaréis el dinero exactamente? Entiendo que en fabricar las recompensas, en pagar a unos actores de doblaje y quizás a un técnico de sonido y a un compositor de música, pero ¿en qué más? ¿Podríais hacer un desglose más preciso? Gracias.
