Gòtic launches their lost second record: "Gegants i serpentines"!
In 1978 Gòtic recorded what was going to be their second album. That work was never published and remained stored in some lost shelves. Now, the original tapes have been remastered and digitized by the components of that lineup. With YOUR HELP, the band's 2nd work can finally see the light.

Gòtic publishes their lost second record: "Gegants i serpentines"
Gòtic is a catalan progressive rock band that was active during the golden years of the so-called Rock Laietà, in the 70s of last century. Originally formed by Jep Nuix on the flutes, Jordi Vilaprinyó on the keyboards, Rafael Escoté on the bass and Jordi Martí on the drums. The band played in the last edition of the Canet Rock festival and also several times in the mythical Zeleste club of the Argenteria street, in Barcelona, site of the musical modern culture of that time.
Their music, descriptive and full of fresh Mediterranean influences, combines frenetic rythms with moments of great lyricism. The band's first album, "Escenes", was published in 1978 and was a hit amongst the rock audiences of the Catalan progressive rock.
Some time later, Jep Nuix left the group while flutist Augusti Brugada and guitarist Eugeni Gil joined the band. With this new lineup Gòtic recorded a series of tunes that were going to be published as their new second album. Unfortunately, that work was never released and was eventually shelved while the tapes remained lost for decades...
But wait... the tapes were found and today the band revised and remastered the originals with the aim to bring all music lovers the fresh and evocative notes of a kind of music that hasn't lost that time's freshness.
WHERE WILL YOUR MONEY GO?
All contributions will be invested in production costs, ie.: graphic design, production of the CD and to prepare the premiere concert.
CALENDAR
The making of the album will be in late 2015. During the first quarter of 2016 the album will be available for download in MP3 format and will be sent to patrons who have chosen that reward. The premiere concert will take place in Barcelona by spring/early summer 2016.

De momento sólo tenemos prevista la edición en CD, ya que la edición en vinilo disparaba los costes. De todas formas, y dependiendo de cómo vayan las ventas, nos plantearemos una posible edición en vinilo ya que hemos recibido diversas peticiones en este sentido.

Ja tenim disponibles les entrades per al concert de presentació del disc "Gegants i serpentines", que tindrà lloc el dimecres 15 de juny, a les 21.00 h, a la sala Luz de Gas (Muntaner 246, Barcelona). Ja saps que si vas fer una aportació de 40 €, la teva recompensa inclou una entrada, i si la vas fer de 60 o 150 €, la teva recompensa inclou dues entrades. En tots dos casos, per poder accedir a la sala el dia del concert només caldrà que t'identifiquis a l'entrada.

Hem aconseguit amb escreix l'objectiu que ens havíem proposat per finançar l'edició de "Gegants i serpentines" el 2n disc de Gòtic. Gràcies a la generosa aportació de 140 mecenes, entre les quals, la teva, hem pogut reunir els recursos suficients per tirar endavant el projecte.

El projecte de Verkami destinat a l'edició del nostre disc "Gegants i serpentines" encara la recta final. Queden pocs dies perquè finalitzi el termini i ja gairebé hem arribat a la fita que ens havíem proposat.
