WHY PROJECT DIANIA?
Diana Project is an ambitious project that wants to reverse back to society. We are an agricultural country, Beniarrés (El Comtat), where smallholdings are exclusive, where the landscape degenerates naturally which proliferates the abandonment of land, destruction of dry stone walls and spread of forest fires.
This decline is due, in part, because it is no longer economical for the people to continue maintaining the natural heritage and landscape their ancestors created.
We don't want to be passive spectators to villages losing their vitality, losing the young people and the landscape. We want to contribute our efforts, our grain of sand in the rural areas so that they continue to live.
OUR OLIVE OIL
Diania Project would like to reverse this trend. For some years, we have been producing extra virgin olive oil by growing a local variety “blanqueta”. Harvesting is performed at optimum ripeness of the olives and on the day is taken to the mill where it is cold pressed. The oil isn't filtered and this therefore gives it it's aromatic qualities and taste.
The resulting oil is extra virgin olive oil, green, clean and with an intense aroma with a hint mown grass. A bitter taste that gives it body, and spicy tones that offer personality.
MUCH MORE THAN OLIVE OIL
As we move forward the production and sale of olive oil we want to recover abandoned terraces in the mountains, re-build dry stone walls that have fallen through abandonment and neglect, replant the terraces around the mountains with native trees and shrubs, thus promoting biodiversity and greenery to encourage bees for increased pollination.
As we move forward with this project we want to extend this practice in order that we may enjoy a living mountain with diversity and care.
It's hard work but worth it!
ABOUT US
Gabri and Mario are two brothers who have worked in the field of olive cultivation together with their father since a very young age during weekends and holidays. But always with a professional commitment to local varieties.
We have always had social concerns and the ecology has been the main concern that we have had. We are gradually moving forward in the field of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. We have attended several courses on olive cultivation techniques in farming and tasting of extra virgin olive oils.
MONEY ALLOCATION
In the first phase, we want to invest in the reform and development of a small local bottling plant to appropriate health standards, this reform is valued at 3800 euros. Then we need stainless steel containers which cost 1000 euros and finally, bottles and labeling that would be 1200 euros. A total of 6000 euros including the costs of the process.
ABOUT THE REWARDS
For the realization of the rewards I had the invaluable help of a friend Almudena Canet Gil, born in Llutxent. We designed a logo for the labels on the bottles. Almudena's making different pictures in watercolour as part of the rewards.
Almudena has always been passionate about art since she was small. In 2003 she graduated in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. She attended the final year in Firenze (Italy) specializing in Printmaking and Drawing. In 2004 she also did a PhD course specializing in engraving.

Sóc en Didac i ahir va arribar la caixa...plena d'oli! La botella de vidre s'ha trencat i tot està empastifat d'oli. A més a més, el bidó de metall està abonyegat. He fet una foto al justificant de correus i a l'empastrada. Què faig? A qui reclame?
