Fantasmas is a musical comedy that through humour and irony presents current issues of social criticism ...

"The ghost of the great tenor Sigfrido Morandi has lived for centuries in his castle in the Tuscan countryside, along with his friends ghosts ... His granddaughter Flavia becomes heiress of the castle and wants to sell it, without worrying about the ghosts that are living in it. All of them, that do not want to be evicted, will try in good and bad to convince her not to sell the castle... Will they manage to it?

Our efforts are directed to help the ghosts of our society, perhaps not the ones that live in the Morandi castle, but all those who are evicted, discriminated against, and who move aside from society, as they don’t feel the support of the society itself…

We want to give continuity to a show that speaks about them, that brings the viewer into their lives and that can also provide, in each performance, a practical contribution to improve everyone’s life.

ABOUT US

La Maratonda company was founded in 2012 with the charing aim to raise funds through a show of their own creation and allocate them to the Fundació Guné NGO. Thanks to the contribution of about 900 spectators in just 3 sold out performances , it was possible to support its child nutrition project.

This is how the Fantasmas show was borne.

Thanks to the acceptance achieved in 2012, now we are back on scene in a more professional perspective, without forgetting our solidarity roots.

CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES

We currently campaign for three solidarity actions:

1. Campaign for collecting food, school supplies, cleaning products or for personal hygiene in each of our functions with the motto *"Do not just be a spectator of life: be part of it!" * Foods and all material collected will be donated to a local NGO, related to the neighbourhood where the show will take place. You can follow the pounds collected through the Kg Counter on our website and facebook.

2. Direct support to blood donation campaigns of Banc de Sang i Teixits (Blood and tissues bank).

3. Specific charing performances where the proceeds will be donated to a charity project. Tickets will have an affordable and less-than-the-usual price.

WHERE DOES YOUR CONTRIBUTION GO?

This campaign is very important for us to purchase costumes, props and makeup, print tickets, posters and flyers, take photos and videos, carry out legal issues (insurance, administration) and, above all, for the theatres rental.

CALENDAR

The first two weeks of November: Makeup, costumes and props, insurance and legal issues ready.

Mid-November: Printing ready (posters, flyers, tickets etc.)

Late November - Early December: Official premiere (date to be determined). Payment to theatres. Photography and videorecording of the show.

Rewards will be given during the months of November-December-January.

We are currently contacting with theatres, to define the performances days. We have also carried out the trailer and a photo session.

We have also opened our website.

We are waiting for a part of props budget.
