We're creating a new liqueur from cherimoyas, a tasty fruit native to the Andes, for fermentation into a fruity liqueur using eco-friendly, organic produce techniques. Grown along Spain's Costa Tropical, our cherimoya liqueur keeps parts of the fruity pulp and can be served as a delicious aperitif, complementing dessert sauce, or mixed into a fresh and fruity cocktail.
ABOUT ANDALUSIA, THE ENVIRONMENT
The scenic beauty and subtropical climate of Andalusia brings thousands of tourists every year. Despite holding reputation as a vacation hot spot, the Andalusian economy relies more heavily upon on its agriculture than its fame as a getaway destination. Unfortunately, the environmental damage caused by tourism harms the local ecosystem and diminishes the sustainability of local agriculture.
The delicate cherimoya, ripens too quickly to make it to far markets, causing unnecessary food waste after harvesting. Without expensive and detrimental preservation techniques, organically grown cherimoya cannot reach people for consumption - and the farmers using the more environmental and health friendly growing techniques cannot compete.
That's where we come in!
Organic farmers take great pains to meet European and Andalusian regulatory standards for their produce to earn its "organic" label. Yet these environmentally conscientious farmers get littlein reward for their hard work. Some go even further, using additive-free mechanical methods to remove the natural pulp. Yet the big name brands pay little extra for the produce all the same.
So we're going to change that.
DOP - DESIGNATION OF ORIGINA
We're not just building a product for our customers, we want to empower local farmers with special Spanish produce regulations, the DOP, by denoting ours and other cherimoya-related products with a special regional designation so that our customers know that their fruit is of the highest quality - organically grown Andalusian cherimoyas.

Our production process, from planting the seed to bottling the final product, starts and ends in Andalusia. We stick by our purpose, so we've teamed up with our local bottling company has project partner.
