It’s time to expand the current Alien Museum so it can host a much larger experience at a new location, with more realistic and immersive settings filled with collectibles, replicas, and all kinds of objects that will delight both fans and even those who aren’t so fond of science fiction.
Luis Escribano was nine years old when he first saw Alien, a film that marked a before and after in his life. Each time he watched it, he discovered new details and interpretations. His fascination kept growing, leading him to start buying trading cards, keychains, posters—the beginning of his collection. As a teenager, another movie was added to this world: James Cameron’s Aliens. His devotion to the saga continued to grow.
FROM FAN TO COLLECTOR
Luis began collecting figures from the movies until his collection nearly occupied an entire room in his house. He purchased books, magazines, gathered all kinds of information, and learned everything he could about how the movie was made, the team involved, the design of the characters and creatures… He became a true expert in Alien.
Luis knew what his passion was, but at the age of 33, he was diagnosed with cancer. After eight months of fighting, he overcame it and faced an existential question: Am I really doing what I want in life?
CONSTRUCTION OF THE ALIEN MUSEUM
Luis rented a small space in Barcelona with the idea of displaying his ever-growing collection, as his followers were eager to see it. But for Luis, this was not enough; he wanted his pieces to be housed in a space that matched their importance. So, he embarked on building life-size sets inspired by the Nostromo ship and other settings from the Alien saga. Practically on his own, with occasional help from friends, he dedicated all his free time over the next four years to constructing his new world: the Alien Museum.
FIRST VISITORS
In 2021, with some parts still unfinished, the Museum received its first visitors. Luis offered them a guided tour, explaining curiosities about the films, their shooting, special effects, design, and all sorts of information about the Alien saga that he had amassed over the years. The visitors were amazed by the meticulous attention to detail in the sets, their accuracy, the museum’s atmosphere, and Luis's encyclopedic knowledge.
COLLECTION PIECES
Obviously, one of the attractions of the visit is seeing the entire collection spread across the sets. There are many replicas of objects that appear in the films, xenomorphs, and all kinds of creatures and props, many of them life-sized. But what most impresses visitors is finding original pieces used in the film shoots.
CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT
Word spread, and more and more Alien and science fiction fans reserved their visit on the museum's website. Not only from Barcelona, but from across the country and around the world, turning the Alien Museum into a pilgrimage center for the most enthusiastic.
Far from stopping there, Luis constantly improves the museum, perfecting the sets and adding light, sound, and smoke effects so that visitors enjoy a fully immersive experience, and whenever he can, he adds new pieces to the collection.
VISITS FROM THE MEDIA AND CELEBRITIES
Over these years, many people who participated in the films, from special effects creators to some of the saga's actors, have followed the project's progress on social media, and some have even visited in person, praising the quality of what can be seen and experienced there. The museum has also been visited by numerous Spanish public figures and is often mentioned in local and national media as a must-visit for science fiction fans passing through Barcelona.
"The level of attention to detail in each and every one of the sets is simply extraordinary.” - Fede Álvarez (director of "Alien Romulus").
“Walking into this corridor, I had a flashback.” - Jenette Goldstein (Vasquez in “Aliens”).
“Words cannot express my gratitude. This place makes me proud to be part of the franchise.” - Holt McCallany (Junior in “Alien 3”).
This is how the new Alien Museum is born, with a space five times larger than the current museum, designed to be filled with sets, pieces, and much easier, more varied management capable of absorbing current interest. There will not only be scheduled and guided visits, but you can also enter without a reservation, with your ticket.
We will make the new museum grow on all levels, with the current sets expanded with more details, more realism, and prepared to make your experience in them even closer to what the characters from the movies lived.
NEW AND IMPROVED SETS
We will include a new laboratory, the unsettling corridors of the ships that have made them famous, the interior of the space shuttle, not to mention the colony and a larger and more terrifying queen's nest, and of course, there will be a special corner dedicated to the movies we love so much.
To all this, we will add an octahedral room with the AI of the main ship, new corners and corridors to immerse yourself in the universe of science fiction, and some other wonders we have in store, including part of a full-scale transport vehicle and new original pieces used in filming.
Lastly, we will pay special attention to accessibility. We will make sure the new museum is ready to accommodate people with reduced mobility.
NEW ADDITIONS BEYOND ALIEN
But that’s not all. While the museum wants to honor science fiction beyond the Alien saga that gives it its name, we want to include other major productions that we cannot overlook. There will be spaces specially dedicated to and inspired by some of the most iconic wonders of the genre.
To reward your contributions, we have prepared a series of completely exclusive rewards, available only during the fundraising campaign. So, it’s also an opportunity to become part of the museum in a special way.
“FOUNDER” FREE ENTRY

BENEFITS OF BEING A SPONSOR
The Alien Museum is a unique place with no competition.
Tripadvisor: 7th highest-rated museum, ranked between the Picasso Museum and the Joan Miró Foundation. 5 stars with over 570 reviews.
Google: 5 stars with over 750 reviews.
Companies like Fever and Atrápalo have shown interest in including it in their ticket sales catalog.
The current museum receives more than 20 guided tour requests daily.
Currently, the waiting list to visit the museum on holidays is 4 to 6 weeks.
The number of tourist visits continues to grow, creating cultural demand that extends beyond local and national boundaries.
The museum has been featured in numerous media outlets, including La Vanguardia, El Periódico, El País, La Razón, Timeout, TVE1, Antena 3, Telecinco, TV3, BTV, Rac 1, and Catalunya Ràdio, among others.
In the future museum, there will be two types of tickets: general admission and guided tours. This will allow a large number of visitors without requiring reservations.
The new museum will be five times larger and will include collections beyond Alien, attracting fans of many other science fiction franchises.
All these advantages will help your business gain exposure, with a unique space in the museum that all visitors will explore and remember. Be part of the new Alien Museum—choose the sponsorship reward that best suits you and your business, join this adventure, and grow with us.

With any set sponsorship, we will also include your company’s logo and name on a special sponsors plaque located at the museum’s entrance, in a space dedicated to our most exclusive sponsors.

If you have any questions about sponsorship rewards or would like to talk to us, write to us, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
This project has been in the works for years, which is why we have everything extremely well-planned. We know what we want to do, how and when to do it, and we also know it will take time. We don't want to just create something that looks good and allows us to open as soon as possible; we want to create something spectacular, with a level of detail that exceeds all expectations, using materials, designs, and finishes that match the quality of the films we will include.
THE CURRENT ALIEN MUSEUM
The Alien Museum, as it currently stands, took a long time to build as it was the handcrafted work of practically one person. In its 47 square meters, we find 5 carefully crafted scenarios from the Alien saga.
These scenarios were built on a reduced scale due to the size of the location, so it was necessary to design each space with great precision to accommodate them without losing their essence. All of them contain numerous references and tributes to the films, beyond the collection pieces, so the experience of living them in person reveals countless secrets from their production.
THE NEW ALIEN MUSEUM
With the new museum, we have 240 square meters, a space five times larger that gives us the opportunity to do much more and even better. The team has grown and learned, allowing us to manage its development in a more professional, efficient, specialized, and dedicated manner.
We will keep the essence of the first museum but multiply everything that makes it special: the attention to detail, the experience of traveling through scenarios that feel completely real, and the dissemination of science fiction in cinema and television, as well as in literature and video games.
We are determined to take this new experience to a new dimension, with expanded and improved settings and entirely new ones. We will take a journey through the great milestones of science fiction film history, including some easter eggs and special corners whose inspiration will teleport you. We are convinced they will surprise and excite you in equal measure.
The goals have been calculated based on the costs of design, materials, labor, permits, taxes, etc., and are classified according to the sequence and order of construction of the different scenarios.
Given the large scale of this project, the scenarios are subject to structural and distribution changes throughout the construction process.
Building a museum is no easy task; it requires taking many things into account, and if we want it to succeed, we must get to work as soon as possible. That's why we're already underway at the new location.
COSTS AND OPENING OF THE NEW ALIEN MUSEUM
We have renovated the entire structure to accommodate the different scenarios, including a new staircase to ensure access to the lower floor, adapted for people with reduced mobility. We have also prepared all the electrical wiring, ventilation systems, sanitary water, security, set separations, etc. In summary, we have everything ready to fill it with science fiction, which will take the most time and dedication.
To simplify, we will allocate your contributions to each scenario as follows:
Scenario design and preliminary project
Construction of the structure, panels, and doors
Electrical systems, lighting, multimedia, sound, and FX
Decorations, details, painting, and sealing
Construction of display cases and informational signs
Our forecast for having all the sets fully functional and opening the museum doors is around two years. Our plan would allow us to open at the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027. We don’t want to rush it; instead, we want to pay attention to every detail to ensure the museum meets our expectations and delivers the experience we want you to enjoy when you come to visit.
COSTS AND DELIVERY DATES FOR REWARDS
As for the rewards, we want them to be something you receive as soon as possible, independent of how the museum's construction progresses. Therefore, once we close the campaign, we will focus our efforts on producing them in parallel with the construction work.
Our delivery timeline is 3 months after the campaign ends. This way, we can ensure that all of them meet the quality we expect, with some margin for unforeseen events along with shipping.
All rewards that will be part of the museum itself will not be sent; we will manufacture them along with the scenarios (this includes: names on monitors, scenarios, and plaques).
We thank you for your support and, of course, if you have any questions or issues, we will be more than willing to resolve them.
The team behind this project consists of 4 film enthusiasts, especially science fiction. A project we want to bring to life based on our love for the genre, with all the quality and dedication to make your visit more than extraordinary—an unforgettable experience.
Luis Escribano: The museum's main collector and the largest Alien saga collector in the country. Known for creating the first science fiction museum dedicated to the Alien saga.
Vicenç Botella: IT technician and the largest Dune saga collector in the country. A science fiction fanatic, whether written, filmed, illustrated, or in video game form.
Carles Marsal: Visual artist and art director. Passionate about the genre, he has worked on various science fiction and fantasy productions for the entertainment industry.
Octavi Pujades: Actor. Collector of sci-fi replicas and figures from the '80s and '90s films. Known for his appearances in film, theater, and television.
