Juan is a Cuban worker who makes a living out of his 250.00 Cuban pesos (cub) per month alone. He has no other source of income but his job and receives a monthly quota of elementary basket that contains: 7 pounds of rice, 4 pounds of sugar, half a pound of vegetable oil, 5 eggs, 11 ounces of beans, 1 pound of chicken and 1 piece of bread on daily basis. Are these products enough for Juan to live through the month? How much should he consume every day? ** What can Juan do with 250.00 cup? **

The documentary moves along this questions though this character, who still feels optimistic and keeps an eye for any upcoming changes, analyzes the agricultural marketplace prices, philosophies on the dual currency and questions corruption ... This documentary aims to analyze the economy from the micro - perspective of a worker with a minimum salary to the macro structure of a country working on an economic campaign that will define its future.

How will we allocate your contributions?

The contributions will be used to finance the post production of the film, including the Assembly stage: Edition & Visual Effects, film credits design; sound, music, and color correction. In case of receiving more than expected it will be used for promotion expenses, translation, film distribution and/or creation of a DSP.

About rewards

The rewards will be granted once the film is premiered, if possible on the premiere itself. Should it be mailed the shipment will be done to one person in a region who will be responsible for the distribution.

February Shooting: 7 days/ Indoors: 3 days. Set / Outdoors: 4 days.

May-June Launch of post-production fundraising campaign via Verkami.

August Edition/ Visual Effects. Sound post-production.

September Original Music recording. Color correction.

October Translation and subtitles. Exhibition of the film final cut to the crew and people involved in the Verkami Crowdfunding Agreement (a site in Vimeo will be created for the associates to see the work done) Premiere of the film in Vedado, La Habana, Cuba.
