WE ARE VERY EXITED!
WE EXCEEDED OUR GOAL OF 4200€!
We still have days left, before the campaign finishes.
Until the 5th of July you can continue helping us and getting the special rewards we offer you!
ΑND WE CONTINUE!
With the 4200€ raised, we will cover the basic expenses of a second editor, a colorist and a sound designer.
But if we manage to raise a bigger fund, we will be able to improve the post production conditions, the quality of image and sound, financing the graphic design, translate and subtitling the film.
For some more days we ask your collaboration, in order to make this film even better!
AND... ATTENTION! If we manage to raise 6000 euros, WE WILL MAKE DVDs for EVERY PATRON that has helped us with this campaign!!
SYNOPSIS
When the bell rings at the IPSI school in Barcelona, some kids don't rush to the courtyard to play like the others do. They are the committed singers of Cor Vivaldi, who daily sacrifice their free time for their biggest passion: singing. Their director, Oscar, and their singing teacher, Pilar, train their voices and rehearse with them every day, with great discipline and love for music. They work hard to perfectly prepare repertories of high difficulty, so they’re ready for their performances in some of the biggest music halls of the country.
This year, Cor Vivaldi was invited to participate in the International Choral Contest of Tolosa, a very prestigious competition.
Our film witnesses the 6 months of hard preparation until the big day of the competition: their first big challenge. A maturing process build with effort, full of trips, concerts, tears and joy.
This is a story of characters, emotions and music.
WHAT HAVE WE ALREADY DONE?
When we decided to do this film, we knew we wouldn't do a simple reportage about choral singing. Our intention was to make a deep story that would speak about issues we consider universal: passing from childhood to adolescence, the frustration and the happiness that big challenges can bring, team work, passion, sacrifice. But, above all, human relations.
To make this idea come true, we dedicated the last 12 months of our life to this big family called Cor Vivaldi. We kept shooting the everyday life of our main characters, following their program with them: rehearsals, classes, concerts, etc. We captured their musical and personal evolution in a very close and constant way. So constant, that we've even learned how to sing properly!
We did all this with a very limited budget, just because we believed (and we still do) that this story is really worth it.
WHY DO WE NEED YOUR HELP?
We managed to finish the shootings without any financial support from public institutions or TV Channels. But our project is now entering the post-production stage, which requires a technical work that we can't afford, but that it’s essential in order to properly finish the film.
In detail, we need:
To finish the editing and do the colour correction.
To do the sound correction and the audio mixing.
VERKAMI has an ALL or NOTHING financing policy.
This means that if we don't raise 100% of our goal by the deadline, we won’t get any money.
We would be very happy if you gave us a hand, so that all the footage we got with so much effort becomes an excellent film!
HOW WILL WE USE YOUR PLEDGES?
Our goal is to raise 4200 euros that will be used to cover the expenses of the post-production.
Of course, from the total amount we will deduct the commission of the crowdfunding platform, bank and Paypal commissions (We would like to ask you to avoid Paypal if you can, because it keeps a higher commission rate), the expenses of your rewards, and the 21% of VAT. (you’d better es recomendación pero suena a la que te dice tu madre cuando te dice “you’d better tidy up your room)
ABOUT VIVALDI CHOIR
Vivaldi Choir is a white voices choir formed by 46 children of ages between 8 and 17, all of them students of the IPSI school of Barcelona.
It was created 25 years ago by the piano player and director Oscar Boada, and since its formation as a school choir has been surpassing borders, clichés and expectations, becoming an internationally respected and admired choir.
Their voices have been heard all over the world, they have won the most important international awards, and they have compiled their innovative and eclectic repertoire in more than thirteen CDs. They have also collaborated with the Opera production of Barcelona’s Liceu and have recorded the soundtracks of films by Almodóvar, Balagueró and Llompart. Last year, they were honoured with the prestigious Creu de Sant Jordi, for their contribution to Catalonia's cultural history.
