First EP of Cassandra's Sons & the Bastards Band

UPDATE: There’s 23 days of campaign left and not only have we achieved our first goal, but we have also surpassed the other two phases that we set just in case some insane person had the crazy idea of changing the band’s name. Of course we could not have even imagined it! These days we have been discussing about what to do with the extra money that you are entrusting us and we concluded that, in addition to recording as many songs as possible, we want to invest this extra money in a video-clip for which we will count on the help a wonderful team. For that, we now set a new goal of 3000€, which will allow us to finance the work of this fantastic team, who like many other brilliant professionals of the audio-visual scene, are used to being slaves of non remunerated friendship. We have no doubt that the result will be fantastic! Thank you very much to all of you for believing in us! Cheers and music!

The band was founded in 2011 and since then has performed in numerous venues and bars in Barcelona. Over time, the band has grown to reach its current formation of six members who have found a very characteristic style inspired by Anglo-Saxon folk, indie music and Balkan sounds.

After two years of concerts, Cassandra 's Sons is now entering a new phase where we intend to record our first EP. This will give us the possibility to offer more concerts in different venues and locals around Catalonia.

THE PROJECT

The EP has an estimated cost of at least € 1,500, an amount that will allow us to record three or four songs. That´s why all your contributions are more than welcome!

However, with this initiative we aim to reach 1300 € because we think it is a significant enough amount that will allow us to start recording thanks to your help. For this reason, we have identified three distinct phases that we can achieve as the amount increases:

1 . First phase: € 1,300. With this amount we will be able to record at least 3 songs at the Aurha Studios.

2. Second phase: € 1,700. With this amount we will be able to record 3 or 4 songs, prepare merchandising and our website.

3. Third phase: € 2,000. Finally, if we get this amount we will be able to record 4 to 5 songs, prepare merchandising, our website and be very, very happy !

The rewards will be delivered during the presentation concert of the EP in mid-2014. Do not worry, those of you who cannot come will get their rewards at home!

SCHEDULE

We are currently working on music production and estimate that recording will start in mid-March. We are also currently designing the CD artwork, t-shirts and preparing the website.

The date of the concert of presentation will depend on the number of songs we end up recording thanks to your help. We will keep you informed as we move into the recording phase.
