"Este no es un lugar adecuado para morir"
“This is not a adequate place to die”, is the new project from the theater company Obskené. The play is written by Albert Boronat and will be directed by Judith Pujol Llop.
SYNOPSIS
A young boy finds his dog which is missing since days dead in the street at the entrance of his village. This is the start of the story 'This is not an adequate place to die'.
From this moment on, the young boys' plan to bury his dog reveals piece by piece the story of his family, his relationships and mysteries. Some relationships are connected to events related to the escape of his brother from the village. This history reveals that the saying 'This is not an adequate place to die' actually express nothing else than 'This ins not an adequate place to live'. So the place where people live is actually not the village but in the views of the others.
This is not an adequate place to die places situations and relationships of a family into an indefinite space in relation to the views of others. In those views and relations we can finally see us reflected.

LOCATION
Sala Beckett is located in the neighborhood of Gracia (Barcelona). It is a space for creation and experimental theater, especially dedicated to the promotion of contemporanean dramaturgy. It is meeting point for playwrights, creators and the general public.

CALENDAR
At the moment we are working on the production of the scenery, the music and the costumes. In summer the rehearsal will start. In September 2013 we will have the premiere.
The play will be showed until the beginning of October 2013. Before the premiere we will officially present the project to our fantastic patrons.
