"El Paso"

“El Paso” is an European style three volumes hardback comic with din A4 dimensions (more or less). Each volume has roughly 40 to 50 pages, with the end of the story in the third volume.

This crowfunding is running to sustain the first volume´s publication, although we want to use the same method for the publication of the next volumes with the purpose of keeping the same aspect and format in all three of them.

It is posible to choose among four languages: English, French, Germany and Spanish.

The ancient land of Arcania is a peninsula guarded by two intense oceanic currents which split the Ocean into the Cálcico sea and the Profundo sea. Nowadays, Arcania´s territory is fertile and abundant. Nueva Arcania is reigned by the Señores de Occidente who managed to cross the desert leaving Arcania reduced to oblivion, nothing more than mud and granite ruins.

A large mountain range surrounds the peninsula from North to South, blocking the desert and retaining the rain water. Today, Nueva Arcania is the biggest food supplier of this desolate continent and the Señores de Occidente know to how use it to their own avantage.

El Paso is located between water and soil, leaf and dust, life and death. Immersed among the mountains, its canyons and paths have been turned into the only trade way by land and from East to West. Our story happens here, in El Paso, and El Paso is the main character. Among its rocks, over its rocks and under its rocks, our characters dream, fight and live an awakening long time awaited.

Nico: eleven-year-old Nico is determined, brave and very nosy. El Paso has seen her grow up, always coming and going, discovering new paths. She is, above all, an ally to bird and bush, water and rock.

Macussis: scholar, master of ancient knowledge or dirty old man are some of his epithets. He is intelligent, hard-worker and an incredible schemer; he has very clear which his aim is and how to get it. Although sometimes he looks lost in more earthly interests.

Nigel: it is not for nothing that his nickname was Mimble Fingers, pickpocket in Centenera long time ago, nowadays he dedicates all his efforts to pillaging and sacking. He is clever, fast and boastful, only dark beer gets him to confess all his secrets.

Saveen: Saveen´s past carries weigth over her, making her a cold, introvert and suspicious woman. Nothing in her seems to be wrong; she is intelligent, agile and gorgeous. Always a caged birdie, her freedom desires torment her.

Sir Arthur: Sir Arthur is a knight at the service of one of the Señores de Occidente. His main worry is to make sure that his lord receives his wealth. However, he is an unbelievable knight; always courteous, generous and fair in his actions.

All rewards include our most sincere thanks as well as a physical token of our appreciation, both in our blog as in our printed and digital comic.

-Shipping costs: as we did not find any good offer from transport companies, delivery prices as quite expensive and we didn´t want to include them within the reward´s values. The reason for that is to provide the possibility to save this money, getting your rewards in the public event that we are going to organize when our comic is finished. The event will be in Granada and all of you are invited.

-PDF format comic: digital comic which is going to be sent by email.

-Printed comic: printed hardback comic with din A4 dimensions.

-Basic set: printed comic, customized dedicatory on comic and PDF format comic.

-Cup: cup with original design of “El Paso”.

-T-shirt: man, woman or child T-shirt; several sizes and three posible designs to choose.

-Small set: 5 printed comics. Delivery costs included.

-Large set: 30 printed comics. Delivery costs included and a promotional day to visit your store and sign comics.

-Caricature in El Paso: for a moment you will see yourself immersed in the rocky world of El Paso. This set includes a sketch in pencil and your high quality printed full color caricature in din A4 size.

-Appearance as an extra: one of our extras is going to have your face and appearance. Printed comic included.

-Appearance as a supporting character: one of our supporting characters will have your face and appearance (as far as our script permits it). Your supporting character will appear in some frames even with dialogue in some cases. There are eight possibilities which can be chosen in order of arrival: two sherpas, two bodyguards, a temperamental old woman, a shy girl, an “Arabic” sheikh and a busload boss.
