VerdCel 25: Children's Book-Album

A NEW DOOR.

VerdCel has been on the road for 25 years, and now we begin a new path, coinciding with the twenty years since that first album, the award-winning Album PaisViatge. Two decades of an intense and exciting journey, made possible thanks to you. We now embark on a stage full of magic, sensitivity, and shared play.

VerdCel opens a luminous window onto a creative territory where childhood becomes both center and compass. It is a space where the child is not only present but is the true driving force, and where the artistic gaze unfolds with awake, curious, and permeable eyes. The child is placed at the heart of the story, but the adult is also part of it.

An integral project that will combine literary texts, original illustrations, thirteen songs, and fourteen short pieces —the “bubbles”— that will wrap around and articulate this great album.

The new Album and show, with a title yet to be discovered, reveals an unprecedented facet of this creative polyhedron. Its symbolic image is a matryoshka: a figure that contains multiple musical universes. At the center, the child beats, and around it successive layers are arranged that give it form and depth. This structure stimulates the mind and moves people of all ages: adults, young people, and children.

It is a singer-songwriter work for everyone that Alfons Olmo and his team have been shaping with perseverance, delicacy, and commitment over the last four years.

A work designed for all ages, for the child and their entire environment (adults and young people). It gives childhood its own voice and establishes a living dialogue with the adult world, exploring complicities, feelings, limits, questions, and opportunities that arise from this relationship. VerdCel approaches at their height, creates music with girls and boys and, at the same time, offers a full and enriching experience for adult audiences.

It flees from the usual clichés of children’s music and proposes, with a strong personality, diverse music rich in nuances, carefully crafted lyrics, and themes that range from direct simplicity (children’s routines) to depth filled with sensitivity and critical awareness (diverse themes).

These songs address children and young people, but also the child that each person carries within: that intimate space where imagination continues to be home, refuge, and engine. The matryoshka expresses precisely these multiple faces of the polyhedron: the childlike, the youthful, and the adult, all connected by the same essential and universal center.

VERDCEL MEETINGS WITH CHILDHOOD.

This is a shared project, and its goal is for you to make it your own. There will be three meetings that we propose for this milestone. It will be like a pregnancy, a birth, and growing together.

• WE KICK OFF CHRISTMAS:

At the winter solstice, when the night is darkest, we want to offer you a light to guide us. A spark for the most intimate home. We invite you to share with your people during the Christmas days, especially on Three Kings’ Night, the first little jewel of this small treasure, with hope and all the love. To those of you who take part in the Verkami, we will send you a digital gift (letter to the Three Kings and a home card around the 3 magical ones from the East) to live this joy and share it with the whole family and friends.

“3 mágicos de Oriente” is the first piece that reveals this new territory of VerdCel: a facet unexplored until now. The song is seed and window at the same time, opening the way to a sonic and visual universe full of nuances. Performed with Dani Miquel, it inaugurates the path of what will become the new VerdCel Album.

• FAMILY CELEBRATION AND BIRTH:

Coinciding with the birth of this Album, we will invite you to a very special meeting. A family and cultural celebration around this work, which you will already be able to take with you (or we will send it to your home, no problem). A snack or breakfast where songs, games, and laughter will allow us to live **a shared experience* as a family and where everyone will be welcome.

Initially, there will be 4 locations in our geography (Alcoy, Cardedeu, Valencia, and Barcelona) during the months of March and April 2026 where we will meet and you can attend the one that suits you best to celebrate this collective creation.

• WE GROW WITH CONCERTS AND SHOWS: 📀 The project is completed with a **series of concerts and performances that will bring the great album to life, transferring this universe to the stage through live music, word, light, and a powerful visual and scenic language. It will be a vibrant, immersive, and shared artistic experience. ### THE NEW ALBUM.

This cultural work for children and the whole family will contain 13 songs and 14 small pieces —called “musical bubbles”— of original creation, and a book 📘 with illustrations by Daniel Olmo and texts related to the themes of the songs and also developing the global narrative thread of the project. A truly exceptional travel companion for the songs on the album.

REWARDS

The ⭐ star reward ⭐ of this Verkami is the one that includes the new work with the Fun pack.

In both cases, you can choose the repertoire from our catalogue as long as the format allows it.

We offer conditions adapted in format and very tightly adjusted economically due to the exceptional nature of this crowdfunding campaign (performances valued at over €1800 reduced to €420 and €720).

WHAT WILL WE USE THE CONTRIBUTIONS FOR?

The amount raised will be invested in most of the production of the Book-CD, prints, illustrations, T-shirts, cloth bags, and the rest of the rewards, as well as shipping costs, bank fees, and Verkami platform commissions.

If we surpass the manufacturing funding target, then we will set a second goal.

On the one hand, we will expand the project by reaching other areas that are also necessary for supporting and launching the cultural project for family audiences, creating new audiovisual works with Clips and/or Lyric Videos. And hopefully, we will be able to offset part of the high costs of music production.
