After 10 years of work, the CD1 of my project A VIAXE / Dende Arxentina ata Galicia (THE JOURNEY / From Argentina to Galicia) finally comes to light. The Galician title honors the open arms that Galicia extended to me when I arrived 18 years ago.
A VIAXE is my DNA, my story told in the first person through music. An Encounter and Fusion of Cultures in an integrating journey through both Atlantic shores.
I invite you to live this experience, and that we disembark together in each of the 18 ports of this trip. A conceptual work that recalls the voyage of my parents from Spain to Argentina and of my return to the lands of our origin: Galicia and Asturias.
To accompany me on this voyage I have summoned great artists from Argentina, Spain, Portugal, and the special collaboration of Latin American artists where Galician immigration was transcendent, putting their voices and instruments at the service of Interculturality on both sides of the Atlantic.
A round trip with a traditional repertoire that delves into the collective memory, and also previously unreleased songs specially composed for this album, all with exquisite original arrangements.

First SINGLE de A VIAXE: Aquí em baixo
Music with identity and permanence that represent a place in the world. Music to take refuge and transcend borders. Music for traveling souls with new destinations to discover.
I invite you to embark and be part of this journey. "Life" is in itself a journey through our own existence, and perhaps it is a utopia that poetry and music can save the world, but they serve to take refuge, to fall in love, to identify ourselves or simply to become pilgrims with new destinations to discover.

About "gratitude present"
10 years ago I started a lonely and silent path. All the money I earned I have invested in living and carrying out this "A VIAXE" project: arrangements, recordings, payment of musicians, travel, mixing, videos, photos, hotels, meals, etc. I have also spent a lot of time preparing everything: inviting, coordinating, studying, rehearsing, many hours of internet and telephone, and above all thinking, rethinking and reflecting...
Little by little, many accomplices joined, from whom I have learned a lot and have made me grow not only as a musician but also as a person, with their different visions of music, their own internal times, and so we built this dream, careful , very pampered and loved by all of us who share this musical and life journey.
The work is finished: recorded, mixed and mastered, with cover art ready, and waiting for you for that final push for the EDITION: that is, the money raised from this Crowdfunding will be destined 100% for the publication of the Physical CD.
I want you to feel part of this A VIAXE project, and you can do it by becoming SPONSOR. I will reward your contribution and interest in culture by putting at your disposal a series of GRATITUDE PRESENT, ranging from the album itself (physical or digital) and various combinations, to experiences related to this voyage.
The CD contains 18 songs, some of them unpublished, with impressive collaborations and very personal arrangements based on the piano, with my own vision of music. With this sponsorship, my music will accompany him, and they will also take a bit of me and the great artists that accompany me.
This special job also requires proper packaging. It is a cardboard box: "Travel box" of 15 x 20 cm designed exclusively, and with a beautiful cover.
Inside this box you will find the CD and a 65-page book that is a "Passport" (similar to the Passport with which my mother traveled to Buenos Aires), with reflections by the prestigious Argentine historian Ruy Farías, texts that I have written for each one of the tracks on the CD, photos from the recording, art designs created for many of the tracks, very complete technical information, songs lyrics, a poem dedicated to me by Zamo Tamay, and photos by the prestigious Argentine photographers: Gustavo Levita and Marcos Furer. I have taken into account even the smallest detail to make AVIAXE unique and special.
Join us: be our sponsor and make A VIAXE a reality!
Something abaut my story...
Since I can remember, I have been attracted to the piano. When he went to school: "Escuela Nuestra Señora del Pilar" in the Recoleta neighborhood in Buenos Aires, in music classes he was fascinated by this instrument and dreamed of moving his fingers on the keyboard and making it sound like Professor Hilda did.
Seeing my interest, this teacher took the initiative and spoke with my mother to send me to study. I was in my fourth year of school and I started taking private lessons with this music teacher. My mother was the caretaker of the building where we lived, and since we had no money to buy a piano, she spoke with the fourth floor neighbor who was a pianist, and this neighbor agreed to lend me her piano so that I could take classes and study on Saturdays.
Almost a year, Hilda the piano teacher told my parents that I should enter the conservatory because my desire to learn was not calmed by a weekly class. Thus, in 1977 I entered the "National Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Art: Carlos López Buchardo" which was on Avenida Callao and Las Heras. Mom sold the few gold jewelry she had, and with that and a loan they bought me my first piano. There begins my career as a Classical Musician.
In my teens, I was quite musically rebellious, I liked to change the nuances of the scores, the performance, and I even added some arrangements to the Bach or Beethoven themes. My teachers were desperate ... that is, it was clear that I loved music, but I was very clear that I did not want to play only classical music.
It was so that I enrolled in private jazz classes with the teacher Fernando Pugliese ... and it was not what I was looking for, but this teacher, today my friend, records me (with very good judgment) a cassette by Raúl Carnota and Suna Rocha, and where the pianist Eduardo Spinassi played, with the percussion of Rodolfo Sánchez. What wonderful music. Argentine World Music with a high musical level.
I met all of them, and I managed to get Maestro Eduardo Spinassi to teach me piano (he did not teach), and little by little I became a Popular Musician.
In 1995 I won the "Baradero Festival" *in the province of Buenos Aires as *"Instrumental Soloist" and recorded my first CD "Solo luz" with all these great artists as guests: Suna Rocha, Raúl Carnota, Eduardo Spinassi (duet of pianos) and Rodolfo Sánchez. Year 1997: First dream come true.
Thus I began to walk with a firm step, and approached the "Referents musicians" of our Argentine folk music. I have learned a lot from all of them: I feel privileged.
In my second album, I wanted to bring together all those souls who were and are my references, my guides, those who taught me how to find my way, and thus was born: "Souls in the wind / Argentine world music", with the collaboration of all of them: Mercedes Sosa, Suma Paz, Jaime Torres, Eduardo Lagos, Luis Landriscina, Jairo, Raúl Carnota, Domingo Cura.... The Spanish edition came out in 2007, then in 2009 it was republished to benefit the "Proyecto Hombre", and finally it was published in Argentina in 2017.
And here we are, on the other side of the Atlantic and trying to reflect in this work A VIAXE everything that I have lived since I had to leave Argentina: **in 2001 the doors of my country were closed and I had to emigrate, return and start again , **doing the inverse way that my Spanish parents had done when they left their land: Galicia and Asturias, heading to Buenos Aires. This project talks about it: about our history back and forth, which is also the biography of many.
I want you to be part of this voyage, and that we discover together the new ports of this musical journey between Argentina, Spain and Portugal, with a stop in Cuba. Do you dare to join us?
