Our first CD release
After a 5 year-long journey as Bambú Ensemble, we finally record our first CD with the renowed label IBS Classical.
Apart from two of the main pieces from the string octet repertoire which are Enescu's Octet op.7 and Shostakovich's 'Two pieces for String Octet' op.11, we will also include the first recording of a piece dedicated to Bambú Ensemble by the up-and-coming composer Javier Martínez Campos.
Who are we?
We were born within the National Spanish Youth Orchestra (JONDE) and the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) and we are the only stable string octet in Spain. After 5 years of self-management, lots of effort and great commitment, simultaneously pursuing an artistic and musical ideal, we have decided to portray our present work and sound in this first CD album.
