LOIROS

We have finished our first LP during last Christmas. The album was recorded and mixed by Hevi(Malandrómeda) at Laboratorio Soyuz (Trazo, Galiza) and mastered by Cem Oral of Jammin´ Masters (Berlin, Germany). It features six original songs written by Loiros, carefully and lovingly composed, performed and recorded.

About us

The band was born in Summer 2016 in the city of Vigo, Galicia, where Héctor Agulla (drums) and Virxilio da Silva (guitar and vocals) started working together with the idea of founding a new project. In their first compositions they tried a crossover between alternative rock and jazz through an acoustic approach. The vocals were written without lyrics, using them rather as another instrument in the sound palette. When bassist Felix Barth (Germany) and guitarist Wilfried Wilde (France) joined the band, the sound got heavier, first lyrics arose and the compositions gained more and more song structure, configuring the idea of what Loiros is today.

Different aestheticts and tastes in music, brought by the four members of the band, result in an interesting stylistic mix. Shoegaze, Grunge, Post Rock, Psychedelia, modern jazz, French Impresionism and African music are all influences that you can find back in Loiros’ music. Their live performances are intense and raw and of a certain intimate character. Long songs, unexpected developments along with moments of improvisation make every concert a unique experience.

After their very first tour in March 2018, they released their first EP Arp, completely self-produced in a handmade limited edition of 150 cds. In December of the same year, their song Rebirthmark was awarded in the "Premios Provinciais á Xuventude 2018“ by Deputación de Pontevedra.

At the moment, supported by this crowdfunding campaing, they are looking forward to release their new album.
