First album by Coral de Lavapiés

Our dream

Our dream is to record the first album of the Lavapiés Choir, Coral de Lavapiés, and thus share our passion with all of you.

We want to capture 15 years of good music in a great album at the level of the compositions we interpret and with the technical level that gives us the necessary sound quality.

We sing music pieces, among others, by Serrat, Manu Chao, The Police, Violeta Parra and Silvio Rodriguez in three or four voices, with the collaboration of musicians like the Argentines Orozoco-Barrientos and Javier Ruibal from Cadiz.

The recordings will be made in different studios in America and in Spain, since artists from both continents participate, and finished in the studio Cezanne Producciones, with musician, producer and sound engineer Javier Monteverde in charge of mixing and mastering the album.

About us

We are an independent amateur choral group that was formed 15 years ago in the Madrid neighbourhood of Lavapiés, with members from all over the world. If you like to sing, come and meet us, even if you think you have no talent. We will teach you, because everybody can sing!

To what end we will destine your contributions

• Recording studio, mixing and mastering of the album.

• Production costs, physical copies of the album, musicians, designers, technicians.

• Compensations, promotion of the album, uploading the album to digital platforms, etc.

January - April 2019: Recording

May - June 2019: Post-Production

July 2019: Release of the pre-order digital album

July - September 2019: Manufacturing the physical album

November 2019: Album release concert and delivery of compensations
