Baba Sall & Raka Ndao
We are Baba Sall and Raka Ndao, a band of musicians with different nationalities who currently live in Tenerife. Our reggae group merges with folk from all around the world. Our songs are a plea for peace, equality and love. We reflect on the issues that concern (migration, poverty, exclusion) and which inspire us (friendship, family, traditions, hope for a better world...).
In 2015 we won the second prize in Festival Alisios and we recorded our first EP. Since then, we have performed in outstanding festivals and reference stages throughout the Canary Islands. We aim to take a leap forward in the national stages and to be able to continue sharing our music.
To my people
“To my people” is our first album and we are making a big effort and putting a lot of affection on its production. The album will include ten songs already recorded in Tenerife and they will be released in CD format at the beginning of 2019.
Supportive contributions
We are very interested in cultural and educational projects, so that’s why we would like to go a bit further and make the “birth” of this musical project a tool to support organizations that fight for development in the most disadvantaged areas of the planet such as Africa.
Hence, we are committed to allocate part of the money raised for two NGO’s: Correcaminos solidarios (any of the projects this NGO develops in Gambia) and Asociación Mamanafrica Humanitaria Senegal.

(Más información pinchando sobre el nombre de cada una de ellas).
Why supporting us?
Although music is an art, it’s very difficult for musicians make a living from our art. As a commitment to the good work we are involved in, we would like all the people to get the money they deserve.
There are a lot of professionals taking part in this artistic project and we would like everybody to earn for their contribution to this work. .
In return, we offer a high-level production, musicians who have reggae streaming through their veins, painstaking audio mixing and mastering, a high-quality artistic design (both in the CD itself and in the items that will be delivered in this crowdfunding) and the above-mentioned supportive contributions.
The money raised will be allocated to:
*-Production and recording
-Pictures, layout and graphic design
-Audiovisual material
-CD manufacturing and merchandising
-Promotion
-Delivery and customs duty
-Legal deposit expenses, codes and licenses to sell and distribute.
-Supportive contributions.
-Verkami 5%*
To end
We would like to thank our fans, friends and families for their support all these years. It has not been easy, but we have always been convinced that the challenge was to make progress, enjoy and release this album.
We owe our fans, so we are leaving in their hands the possible continuity of this story. The whole project (clips, videos, design, recording, manufacturing...) exceeds €4,000.
If we don’t achieve €4,000 in the admitted term (40 days), you will not be charged the invested made (and we wouldn’t receive the money raised either), but we are very optimistic and hope to reach our goal.

Thank you!**
