Caronte is an amazing journey through the stars, nebulas and other worlds. It´s a furious space chase. Not only about alien battles, but about love, fear... an inner battle... a catharsis.

CARONTE explains the story of Debbie, a teenager whose only concern is herself, social media, cellphone and friends. She is rude with her own family, specially with her little brother. But after a dramatic car accident, she starts to regret about the way she behaved with them.
Unexpectedly, Debbie's story connects with Arsys's, an experienced military and space fighter pilot who tries to survive a huge space battle which takes place on other time...another galaxy....another universe.
Onirikal Studio, directed by Luis Tinoco, is not just the production company responsible of Caronte. It's a well known 3D animation and visual effects studio responsible of more than 50 feature films and TV and also recognized with numerous awards.
Onirikal Studio has worked on a large number of international productions, collaborating with another production companies and postproduction studios all over the world: USA, Canada, Colombia, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium, Russia and also for relevant clients such as Free Scoot (Ridley Scott), FOX International (Los Angeles), BBC, SONY Music, Participant Meida, Mediaset, Atresmedia, Filmax, Molinare, Nestle, F.C. and more.

Luis Tinoco, scriptwriter and director of Caronte, started with 3D animation and visual effects more than twenty years ago. Luis have supervised the visual effects of more than twenty feature films and worked on more than fifty titles for cinema and TV. Some of them are remarkable Hollywood productions such as Interestellar by Christopher Nolan (Best Visual Effects Oscar Award winner film) or Hercules by Brett Ratner.
Nominated in 2009 for his 3D animation short film Malacara at the Goya Awards and Gaudí Awards as director and writer of the project.
Pablo Burmann, Caronte's cinematographer has worked more than twenty-five years on cinema field with relevant directors as José Luís Cuerda, Berlanga or Alejandro Amenábar in films including La educación de las hadas, Abre los ojos or Tesis.
His international collaborations and his particular way of working with light and lens provide Caronte with a very powerful and cinematographic look.
Arnau Bataller, Musical Composer of Caronte, graduated at University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He has recorded several times at Paramount Studios and worked on more than 65 cinema and TV productions like A perfect day, TV show Red Band Society and the last of a fourth-part zombie saga, REC 4 by Jaume Balagueró.
He has collected remarkable awards on his musical career such as the well known International Film Music Critics Award in 2011 competing against the music of the TV series Game of Thrones, Sherlock, Dr. Who and Downton Abbey or the Spanish Film Music Critics Award as Best Spanish Composer.
Frank Gutiérrez, Caronte's film editor with more than twenty years of experience working on more than 60 film and TV projects like The Milk of Sorrow, Oscar Award nominated film and Berlin Golden Bear winning.
Melina Matthews, the main actress of the short film. With more than twenty cinematographic international projects such as Mama, The Gunman or The Returned, has worked with cinema celebrities like Sean Penn, Idris Elba or Geraldine Chapplin.
Nowadays Melina is working on the action TV series Playground produced by Luc Besson production company.
In filming department as well as on production and postproduction, a lot more of huge professionals have joined Caronte giving their best and provide a significant quality to the final project.

Caronte is a low budget indie project. A very important commitment and investment as production company which has assumed all the costs so far. At this point, each euro/dollar counts in order to improve the finishing and the quality of the project. That is why we need your help. The money is going for postproduction sound process, record the soundtrack with an orchestra and the international distribution of the short film.
