What is L'Altre Festival?
It's a new socio-cultural event focused on performing arts pieces created by, performed by or relating to people that have any kind of mental illness. It will take place in Barcelona in the spring of 2015.
Why L'Altre Festival?
After more than 10 years of working in this field, we remain convinced that the performing arts are a powerful therapeutic tool and a great help in normalizing the lives of people with mental disorders.
We want to challenge prejudices and take a positive and inclusive approach to making mental illness a part of the larger conversation. We're a meeting place for people with mental illness, their families, performing arts and mental health professionals, and the general public, because we too form part of popular culture.
What will it be like?
There will be four days of activities related to performing arts and mental health: theater, music, dance and circus arts. Visual art and photography. Films and documentaries. Talks and roundtable discussions. And at the end, the awarding of the first Pep Clusa Prize.
Why do we need your support?
Your donations will help pay for the costs of participation (travel expenses and room and board) for all companies that will be performing in the festival, as well as the technical costs of seeting up all the performances.

Who's involved?
The general public, people with mental illness and their families, Spanish organizations and foundations dedicated to mental health issues, as well as institutions that promote socio-cultural activities in Barcelona and businesses and corporations related to the theme of the festival in whatever way.
Who's our audience?
L'Altre Festival is directed towards anyone interested in a different way of looking at and exploring mental health issues.
What do we want to become?
We want to become a project of reference in the cultural and public health spheres, an outstanding event in the Barcelona cultural agenda, and a supporting pillar in Barcelona's drive to continue generating the most innovative social activities in Europe.
Where and when?
L'Altre Festival will take place between the 4th and the 7th of June, 2015, in Fabra i Coats and the Nau Ivanow.
Fabra i Coats is a converted textile factory located in the neighborhood of Sant Andreu del Palomar in Barcelona. This magnificent 19th century industrial complex, the main base of the festival, offers ample open-air spaces as well as theater stages like the Espai Bota.
Nau Ivanow: is a cultural and creative venue in the Sagrera neighborhood of Barcelona. Specialized in the performing arts, it provides support and studio space to creative professionals to facilitate the development of their projects.
Gifts for our patrons
Our patrons will receive free tickets to the events, but in order for you to enjoy them we've got to be able to open our doors. Your pledges are crucial!
Tickets for patrons must be booked between May 20th and 24th. They will be assigned by order of pledge dates, until total venue capacity is reached.
We'll send you an email regarding how to make your reservations. Once they've been made, you will be able to pick up your tickets at the festival box office.
Schedule for rewarding of gifts
Our patrons' gifts will be distributed in person at the festival's box office at Fabra i Coats on the 5th, 6th and 7th of June, 2015.

Para los usuarios del servicio que quieran venir (no actores) tienen que ser mecenas o comprar la entrada. O bien habrá entradas reservadas para las entidades que participan??.
