THE FIRST SHELTER ON EL CAMÍ
Mas Negre (The Black House) needs a final push to become the first accomodation on El Camí (The Way).
El Camí is a cultural hiking trail defined by a participatory process, town to town around all the Catalan Countries, strengthening bonds between the people and the land.
4,000 km of trailways are in the process of being marked and will cover all Catalan-speaking regions.
EL MAS EL NEGRE, A UNIQUE SHELTER
Located in the inimitable landscape of Ogassa (Ripollès), El Negre will be a unique shelter. Apart from offering accommodation for hikers, the house will become a place for innovative learning. It will offer a library and classroom for independent learning, and training workshops will be provided on participatory democracy, non-violent action, and dialogue and consensus.
Cultural and nature activities will also be organized, aimed as much at families and schools, as recreational education groups and high schools. Simultaneously, it will offer an open space for restful stays and creative retreats.
Currently, El Negre is in its final phase of restoration. Once finished, the activities offered at the center will promote collaboration with other similar centers around Catalonia, becoming another piece in the process as we move towards a new social model.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT EL MAS NEGRE?
El Negre will offer activities and services based on the following cornerstones:
• Lodging, retreats and creative research stays.
• Cultural and nature activities for all ages.
• Courses, seminars, talks and workshops to promote tools for social involvement of non-violent collective action.
• Dissemination and guided tours of El Camí of Vidabona, this section of El Camí around Ripoll leads us to discover the Sanctuary of Santa Maria Vidabona which constitutes the most symbolic part of the entire trail. El Cami of Vidabona can be done as an initiation toward individual and collective fullness.
• Training, research and dissemination of Globàlium, the global philosophical model devised by Louis M. Xirinacs. Globàlium is an unprecedented philosophical tool and comprises the most unknown facet of Xirinacs legacy.
• Information Center for El Camí and a landmark for cultural tourism and hiking within Ripollès.
WHY VERKAMI?
The project began in 2010 and was launched thanks to the cooperation of many individuals and institutions in the form of donations, loans, grants, volunteer periods and professionals who have selflessly provided their services.
Now is the time to give the final push to the project, and to do so we need the cooperation of everyone. Because of its collective and participatory dimension, Crowdfunding is the ideal tool for a project of this nature. Through Verkami, you can contribute to El Negre's becoming a reality in the near future and also feel it as your own.
HOW WILL THE MONEY BE INVESTED?
The mountain shelter and center, El Negre, plans to open its doors in the spring of 2015. In order to be operational within the set deadline, the coming months are crucial for the completion of the following structural work and to bring light to El Negre.
The shelter will run mostly on solar energy. Currently, € 22,400 is needed to bring electricity to El Negre.
Through Verkami our mission is to raise € 8,700 for the purchase of batteries for the solar energy system and to partially cover costs of pledge benefits offered. If we achieve this goal, we plan to propose a second: the purchase of solar panels. Both goals are essential to enable El Negre to see the light.
The remaining funding to buy power inverters with switchboards and a backup generator, will be covered by loans, grants and contributions from individuals and collaborating organizations.
ABOUT US
Its purpose is to promote the values of belonging to the Catalan Countries, participatory democracy, non-violence, dialogue and consensus, global consciousness and the evolution of society towards responsibility, maturity and fullness.
The Foundation, which is driven by the association PaS, helps to implement El Camí, promote the extension of El Camí of Vidabona and manage the Mas Negre center.
Non-profit association that coordinates El Camí, a cultural hiking trail that unifies all regions of the Catalan Countries, involving organizations, institutions and residents of each municipality to define their section of El Camí.
PaS organizes hikes, workshops and other activities open to everyone around the country. It also publishes cultural-tourist guides that include unique contributions from inhabitants of each town.

Guided weekend tour in vehicle highlighting symbolic places on El Camí Vidabona: Sant Joan de les Abadesses, Ogassa, Sant Martí d'Ogassa, Coll de Jou and el Pla de cal Pegot, the place where Lluis M. Xirinacs offered his life. Includes one night at El Negre 1 dinner and 1 breakfast.
Flora and Fauna Workshop
Workshop that explores the surroundings and teaches identification of the flora and fauna in the vicinity of El Negre. Includes one night at El Negre 1 dinner and 1 breakfast.
GLOBÀLIUM Workshop
Introductory Workshop to Globàlium, this global philosophical model devised by Louis M. Xirinacs remains largely unexplored by those who know of him. Taking a first taste of Globàlium assures your coming into contact with a unique philosophical and self-improvement tool. Includes one night at El Negre 1 dinner and 1 breakfast.

Si la segona persona també vol acollir-se al pack del Globàlium, haurieu de fer dues aportacions independents per la mateixa recompensa. Si, en canvi, l'altra persona no participaria al taller, aleshores us recomanem que o bé s'agafi el pack individual de cap de setmana de 60€ (1 nit al Negre amb pensió completa) o bé la recompensa d'1 nit al Negre amb esmorzar (20€), que no inclou els àpats però que permet fer ús de la cuina comunitària.

Hi haurà una habitació per a dues persones, que és la que, de fet, té la millor vista a tota la vall!
La resta tenen una capacitat per a 3, 5, 6 i 8 persones, respectivament. A l'entrada més recent del blog, hi trobaràs una descripció de com és l'alberg per dins.

De fet, el pack complet inclou pensió completa per a dues persones. De tota manera, a l'alberg hi ha cuina comunitària per tal que qui ho vulgui sempre tingui l'opió de cuinar-se el menjar :)
