May 26th, Barcelona's city council started Can Vies eviction.

They wanted to destroy 17 years of self-management beating with their police brutality, hammers and excavator.

But they found a neighbourhood on the warpath.

While the excavator was demolishing a part of Can Vies, Xavier Trias (mayor of Barcelona) kept saying he was willing to negotiate.

Cynicism award --> 🏆

The big supportive response told him that we don't want their #BarcelonaBrand. We want to decide about our neighbourhoods and about our lives.

🔥🔥🔥 EX-cavator.

We do are autogestion enthusiasts, and we decided to stay, to remake and rebuild ourselves. Hundreds of hands of Can Vies' neighbors, friends and companions removed the rubble and took it to the District Council.

To make Can Vies can be once again a place against power, to provide legal support to our companions arrested during #EfecteCanVies and to start the rebuilding works without any conditions or wards of the city council, we have started a crowdfunding campaign.
