SUBBUTEOPIA, EL DOCUMENTAL
Subbuteo es el legendario juego de fútbol-mesa que tubo más de 10 millones de apasionados jugadores durante los años 70 y 80, alrededor del mundo. Pero, a principios del 3er milenio, la multinacional americana Hasbro, propietarios de la marca Subbuteo decidió parar la producción del juego.

Para los jugadores de Subbuteo, pudo ser el final de su pasión...

Pero dos hermanos italianos, Arturo y Giovanni Battista Parodi, no aceptaron lo que parecia una decisión irrevocable. Ellos tienen una pequeña empresa en el norte de Italia, i juntamente con su padre Edilio, eran unos de los principales distribuidores de Subbuteo en Europa desde 1971. Los hermanos Parodi tomaron la decisión de desafiar la compañía americana en el mismo terreno, las tiendas de juguetes, i decidieron seguir con la producción y distribución del mítico juego.

Es David contra Goliat de nuevo.

Gracias a los dos hermanos italianos (y también mas gente) Subbuteo no murió: en 2010, hay de nuevo millones de jugadores amateurs y campeonatos en más de 30 países en todo el mundo (Europa, USA, Singapore, Argentina, Canada, Sur Africa...).

NECESITAMOS TU AYUDA!
Ya hemos grabado la mayor parte del material, pero tenemos que volver a Inglaterra para completar las grabaciones con personajes clave y empezar el proceso de post-producción. Solo si conseguimos el objetivo, que es lo que nos falta para acabar el documental, este podrá ver la luz!

Descrizione del progetto

SUBBUTEO è il leggendario gioco del calcio da tavolo che ha avuto circa 10 milioni di appassionati in tutto il mondo durante gli anni 70 e 80. Ma, all’inizio del Terzo Millennio, la multinazionale americana Hasbro, proprietaria del marchio Subbuteo (e seconda nel mondo con più di 4 bilioni di dollari di vendite), decide di fermare la produzione del gioco.

Per chi ha amato il Subbuteo poteva significare la fine della propria passione.

Ma due fratelli italiani, Arturo e Giovanni Battista Parodi, non accettano quella che sembra essere una decisione definitiva. Hanno una piccola ditta con 7 impiegati nel Nord Italia e, insieme al padre Edilio, sono stati tra i maggiori distributori di Subbuteo in Europa sin dal 1971. Decidono di sfidare la multinazionale americana sul suo stesso terreno, i negozi di giocattoli, e di continuare comunque la produzione e la distribuzione del leggendario gioco.

Grazie (ma non solo) ai due fratelli italiani il Subbuteo non muore: infatti, nel 2011, ci sono ancora millioni di appassionati giocatori ed anche tornei agonistici in piu’ di 30 differenti Paesi in tutto il mondo (Europa, USA, Singapore, Argentina, Canada, Sud Africa...).

ABBIAMO BISOGNO DEL TUO AIUTO PER FINIRE QUESTO DOCUMENTARIO
Abbiamo già girato la maggior parte del materiale ma dobbiamo ancora tornare in Inghilterra per girare le ultime scene e procedere poi con il montaggio e la post-produzione. Solo se raggiungiamo il goal saremo in grado di finire presto questo documentario.

SUBBUTEOPIA, THE DOCUMENTARY
Subbuteo is the legendary table-soccer game that had 10 million excited players during the 70s and 80s, all around the world. But, at the beginning of the 3nd Millenium, the American multinational company Hasbro, owner of the Subbuteo brand (and second in the world with more than 4 billion dollars of sales), decided to stop the production of the game.

For Subbuteo players it could be the end of their passion...

But two Italian brothers, Arturo and Giovanni Battista Parodi, do not accept what seems to be an inescapable decision. They have a small company with seven employees in the North of Italy and, together with their father Edilio, were one of the main distributors of Subbuteo in Europe since 1971. The Parodi Brothers took the decision to challenge the American company on its same field, toy stores, and to go on with the production and distribution of the legendary game.

It is David against Goliath, once again.

Thanks to the two Italian brothers (and not only) Subbuteo doesn’t die: in 2010, there are again millions of amateur players and also competitive tournaments in more of 30 different countries all around the world (Europe, USA, Singapore, Argentina, Canada, South Africa…).

    Grazie, ma grazie a te e a tutti quelli che hanno sostenuto il progetto, soli non ci saremmo mai riusciti! Dopo le due anteprime il film sarà sicuramente distribuito nei cinema (siamo ancora in fase di accordo con distributori) e solo dopo verrà distribuito in DVD magari alla fine del 2012 o inizio 2013. Solo i nostri supporters riceveranno i DVD prima di tutti gli altri...

Rispondiamo volentieri nel tuo ordine: 1) devi rifare il log in con i tuoi dati (quelli con i quali ti sei registrato la prima volta) e contribuire la seconda volta come hai fatto con la prima. 2) Le squadre sono 250 in tutto, quindi sono ancora disponibili, ma per l'opzione da 40 euro ne rimangono circa 15 attualmente. Questo perchè 200 sono dedicate a coloro che optano per l'edizione limitata del DVD che avrà un packaging e contenuti extra molto speciali.     Caro Michelangelo, intanto grazie mille per aver aderito al nostro progetto. Stiamo aspettando di raggiungere il goal perchè se entro il 1 febbraio non lo raggiungeremo, i soldi della tua contribuzione non ti verranno mai ritirati e quindi non potrai ricevere il nostro DVD. Pertanto stiamo compilando una lista con tutte le vostre adesioni e non appena raggiungeremo il goal sarete contattati personalmente per chiedere conferma di tutti i dettagli, compreso come volete esattamente essere citati nei titoli di coda del documentario... Quindi pazienza! Speriamo di raggiungere presto il goal! ;-)

    Dear oriano, in 150 euro is not included the ticket premiere but there are the DVD Limited Edition (only 200) and all the Subbuteopia gadgets that means T-SHIRT+TEAM+MINICD+POSTER signed by the author. The TEAM is a team for playing Subbuteo that have the uniform of Subbuteopia. Also the Team are limited and certificate. Just 250 only for this occasion. Hope it helps.

  • Una domanda che credo possa interessare in molti. Ponete che io abbia scelto l'opzione che non prevede il biglietto per l'anteprima, diciamo quella da 40 euro. Posso eventualemnte fare l'upgrade dell'offerta passando in una che preveda il biglietto?

    Caro oldsubbuteo, l'opzione anteprima fa parte solo del contributo da 50 euro ed è un'opzione che non si accavalla alle altre. Significa che se hai optato per il contributo da 40 euro riceverai il DVD e uno degli oggetti Subbuteopia. Se vuoi anche partecipare all'anteprima dovrai sottoscrivere anche l'opzione da 50 euro con la quale avrai comunque la possibilità di passare un giorno indimenticabile insieme a noi. Se invece decidi di "scambiare" il tuo DVD+oggetto con l'anteprima la questione è un po' più complicata perchè su questa piattaforma non è pensato il cambiamento di opzione. Quello che possiamo dire è che siccome siamo noi a mandare i premi, se versi una ulteriore contribuzione da 10 euro e ci informi della tua voglia di cambiamento noi indicheremo nella tua scheda questo scambio e quindi potrai partecipare all'anteprima ma non riceverai il DVD e uno dei nostri oggetti... Noi saremo lieti di poterti fare avere tutto, vedi tu! ;-)
