What’s La Recaída?
La Recaída is a short film, a sweet comedy. It’s the story of Mercè, a woman about 74 years old who has an appointment with Dr. Jaime so he can examine her again. She has been experiencing weird symptoms for some weeks that she can’t identify. The medical diagnosis will change her life.
La Recaída is a 10-minute short film that has emphasized in elements such as actor’s direction, photography and art. It wants to create an intimate, fun, sweet and colourful atmosphere.
The doctor’s office has Modernist architecture that will contribute to make the room a magic place.
Who are our actors?
Bibiana Bigorra
Bibiana is an artists since she was Young: she graduated from the Conservatori de Música of Barcelona (piano) and later she studied artístic direction. She spent many years teaching this discipline and she has also starred some plays.
Martín Brassesco
He was born in Rio de la Plata, raised in the Caribbean and he established in the Mediterranean (Barcelona). He loves literatura, scripture, theatre, cinema, music, and big cities. He has worked in Europe and America starring some TV series, films, and advertisements.
¿Who’s behind La Recaída?
Elizabeth Urbina es the scriptwriter, director and promoter of the project. She has been working as an actress but now she wants to try on direction.
She wrote the script of La Recaída as the final project of a Master in Cinema she studied. This years she’s been awardad by the Best Script in FESCILA.
To carry out this project she counts on some mates and friends who have studied in prestigious film schools and have experience in shooting.
However, the most important thing its that all the crew are motivated and want to do a great work and enjoy this adventure.

Why do we need your contributions for?
We can finance with our own resourses a part of the budget but we can’t cover all necessary the expenses by ourselves.
We will spend the money from the Verkami contributions on the necessary expenses to carry out the project, such as:
Equipment (photography, sound, lighting)
Costume, props, scenography
Transportation costs
Rewards for the patrons of Verkami
Promotion and Distribution of the short film
When are we going to do it?
We are in the pre-producction stage. We are planning all the issues and each department is working out so we can start shooting in late June/early July.
Once we finish the shoorting we’ll start the edition on the postproduction stage.
We think that around October it will be finished and ready to release. We will deliver all the rewards by then!
Why being part of La Recaída?
All the crew rely on the idea and its potential and we are motivated to do a great work. We are like a family because we have worked together in other projects. Shootings characterized by their professionalism but also by their very good environment.
