"Behind the door" is a feature film that was created with the conviction that it is possible to find a balance between quality and commercial cinema.
Like other projects implemented by the Girona producer company DDM VISUAL, SL, "Behind the door" is developed considering budget constraints of this kind of movies that move aside from large productions.
Plot summary
Sara lives in his private prison oppressed by his own father, a fascist retired military that annuls her as a person. The arrival at the flat of Josep, a Jewish tenant University Professor, will make her regain hope and self-esteem until his father violently thwarts their relationship.
In this film the Jewish visitor represents the arrival of culture and the joy of living to a house where the darkness of fascism still reigns. And despite the tragic outcome at the end fascism cannot defeat the illusion and the desire to live.

The film is starred by Mercè Pons, Carlos Lasarte, Hans Richter, Mingo Ràfols, and Miquel Gelabert.
It is directed by David Gimbernat and Pere Solés.

We are currently looking for funding to finish the post-production of the film. The Town Hall and the Diputació of Girona contributed with a portion of the money needed for this concept but we still need 5.000 € to achieve a professional standard to guarantee its acceptance in festivals and professional distribution.
Schedule
Last May 2014 we finished the shooting which was self-financed by DDM Visual and the french production company French Kiss.
We are currently finishing the editing of the film.
The film premiere is planned for January 2014 at Cinema Truffaut in Girona and in other Cinemas still not appointed in Barcelona and Beziers.
