Diet Slim

DIET SLIM means what it says. We take the touring band and strip it down and drive in new directions. The last album was a fun poke at the ruin that is happening in southern Europe (soundcloud:https://soundcloud.com/guitarnotsoslim/bailout) Now, taking our inspiration from some of those great recordings that you can't stop listening to, we've come up with a new recipe, half from the masters and the other half from our own inspiration. In this mix, we have thrown in the talents of some of the best roots musicians around from here in Extremadura, neighboring Portugal, Holland and of course, the U.S.A. The sounds we are looking for are those from your living room, just some good friends hanging around, playing music that can't help but make you smile.

Where's the money going?

As we want it to sound like we're in your living room, we need some vintage sounds...Ribbon mics that bring breath back to music and analog tools to warm up the room. From there, we need to print up the CDs and of course, get some cool t-shirts done from the great artwork that our man in Lisbon, Hildebrando Soares has come up with.

Calendar

The project is just about done and the debt collectors are coming round to break some knee caps. We've got to get it up and running soon before we are up and running! We're hoping that we've got it out on the street mid-June to coincide with the summer European tour.
