Let’s complete the trilogy against bullying

React! is the final piece of a trilogy of short films that explores bullying from three different perspectives: the victim, the bystander and the aggressor.

With this campaign, we want to complete the funding for the shoot and production of the short film, so we can continue using cinema, education and reflection as tools to help overcome bullying.

1- To solve bullying, we need to look beyond the victim.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"Bullying does not end unless it is addressed"

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Bullying is not only physical. It is also psychological.

If we do not see it, if we do not hear it, if we do not talk about it, that does not mean it does not exist.

What may seem like a joke, a look or an insignificant comment can leave a mark for a lifetime.

Sometimes it remains hidden inside, in silence, until perhaps it is too late.

This is not about confrontation. It is about finding a solution.

And to find that solution, we need to understand every part of the problem.

We need to listen to every voice.

"One More Day suffering in silence

Not Another Day looking the other way

React!!"

2- A Story That Began Years Ago

For years, I kept my experience of bullying hidden.

It was something that deeply affected me, yet for a long time I did not know how to talk about it.

Until I decided to do so through cinema.

That is how One More Day was born, a short film that explored the reality of the victim.

But what I did not expect was everything that would come afterwards.

The screenings, discussions and conversations with students, families and professionals introduced me to new experiences and revealed the need to tell other sides of the story.

I discovered the stories of people who had witnessed bullying and had not known how to respond.

Out of that need came Not Another Day, the second short film in the trilogy.

But there was still one question that remained unanswered.

What about the person who bullies others?

Understanding bullying is not only about understanding the victim's pain.

It is also about understanding the silence of those who witness it and the reasons behind the actions of those who cause harm.

Out of that need comes React!, the final chapter of a trilogy that seeks to inspire reflection, empathy and the determination to help solve the problem.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"The questions raised by One More Day eventually grew into a trilogy."

3- Why React!?

When we think about bullying, we often think about the victim.

That is why One More Day invites us into their thoughts.

Questions that many people who experience bullying often ask themselves:

  • Is this really how people see me?

  • Have I done something wrong?

  • I do not know how to ask for help. Does that make me less independent?

  • What will people think of me?

  • I do not want to lose the only safe place I have by telling my family what is happening to me.

But bullying does not affect only the victim.

It also affects the people who witness it.

In Not Another Day, we explore different questions:

  • Why does nobody step in?

  • If no one else does anything, then I will have to.

  • Taking action can have consequences.

  • The feeling that there is no right answer can be overwhelming.

  • The most important thing is to stand by the victim.

And then comes the most uncomfortable question of all.

What about the person who bullies others?

In React!, we want to explore a perspective that is rarely addressed.

Not to justify bullying.

But to better understand the problem.

  • People are always telling you who you should be.

  • When people point fingers at me, I push back.

  • What will people think of me?

  • Emotions can be very difficult to control.

  • If you do not judge me, I can still change.

Because we believe that solving bullying requires more than understanding the victim's pain.

We must also understand the silence of those who witness it and the inner struggles of those who bully others.

"Each person offers a different perspective on the same reality."

4- The Pillars of the Project

-- React! Also Speaks to Those Who Bully --

We believe that those who bully must also be part of the solution.

Not to justify their actions, but to help them recognize bullying behaviours, take responsibility for them, and understand that it is never too late to change.

-- Reflection Through Emotions --

We are not looking to offer easy answers.

Through cinema, we aim to raise questions, awaken emotions and encourage reflections that continue beyond the screen.

-- A Living Project --

Each short film has opened up new questions, conversations and needs.

The trilogy continues to evolve with every shared experience.

-- Beyond Cinema --

The song Not Another Day, the future React! song, illustration exhibitions, the One More Day comic book and the artistic posters are all part of the same creative universe.

-- Education, Accessibility and Commitment --

The project includes educational resources focused on preventing and overcoming bullying.

It is also committed to accessible and inclusive filmmaking, both during production and in the finished works themselves.

"This is not just cinema or education. It is a different way of understanding what happens to us."

5- A Project That Is Already Making an Impact

The short films in the trilogy have travelled to film festivals and educational events around the world, reaching countries as diverse as Turkey, Australia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Argentina, India and Zanzibar.

They have also been showcased in countries with a long-standing commitment to preventing bullying, including France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Japan, China and the United States.

In the United States, the short films have been particularly well received and have even been used as educational resources in schools in Dallas, New York and Los Angeles.

-- Beyond Film Festivals --

The value of these stories also lies in the conversations they inspire.

The short films have been screened for hundreds of students, including sessions with nearly 400 students at the K-Lidoscopi Festival and in Vilanova i la Geltrú.

They have also been featured in anti-bullying events and teacher training programmes.

6- Who Is Behind All This?

This project began through the initiative of Carles Puig Mundó, a film director, member of ONCE (Spanish National Organization of the Blind), and someone who was born with a visual impairment.

Over the years, however, many people and organisations have joined the project with a shared goal: to help it grow and take it further.

PDA Bullying, the technical and creative teams behind One More Day and Not Another Day, as well as the professionals who have chosen to continue the journey with React!, have all been essential in making this trilogy possible.

We have also been fortunate to count on the involvement of professionals such as Josep M. Civit, Liam Colomer, the team at Art'n So, Antaviana Films and, more recently, the production company Terra Nova.

In addition, the project has received support from ONCE (Spanish National Organization of the Blind), educational centres, the Barcelona City Council, the Barcelona Education Consortium and Pompeu Fabra University, all of whom have contributed in different ways throughout this journey.

7- Why Do We Need Your Help?

Over the years, many people and organisations have helped this project grow.

ONCE (Spanish National Organization of the Blind) contributes to the funding of the production.

Terra Nova supports the project by providing technical equipment.

Many professionals continue to be involved, contributing their time, experience and commitment.

And I personally cover a significant part of the production costs.

However, to film React! with the quality and ambition that a story like this deserves, we still need help.

Your contribution will allow us to complete the funding needed to bring the final chapter of the trilogy to life.

And, as is often the case, behind every need there is also an opportunity.

The opportunity to become part of this project, to share this journey with us, and to thank you for your support through the rewards we have prepared with great enthusiasm.

8- What Will the €3,500 Be Used For?

The goal of this campaign is to cover an essential part of the production of React!.

Most of the budget will be invested directly in the filming process and in ensuring the artistic and technical quality of the short film. Campaign rewards and Verkami fees account for approximately €500 of the total amount.

Many other production costs will continue to be covered by the project team and collaborating organisations.

12- HELP US COMPLETE THE TRILOGY

If you have read this far, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

We are sure that it means this project matters to you in some way.

Your contribution will not simply help us make a short film. It is a way of contributing to a reality that we want to change together.

Over the years, we have seen these short films spark questions, reflections, debates and conversations that might never have happened otherwise.

And we have learned that when people gain a deeper understanding of the problem, new opportunities to address it begin to emerge.

That is why this project is not only about making films.

It is about helping to build a reality with fewer victims, fewer people looking the other way, and more people willing to take action.

Now, only one final piece remains.

And we would love for you to be part of it.

Because no one should ever have to face bullying alone.

Thank you so much!!
