Estrella Fugaz en Marbella

DESCRIPTION

Shooting Star in Marbella was born with the need to remember the day on which the idol of a large part of humanity, and moreover, of its creators, visited Spain for the first time, and specifically, in his own land.

On the 5th of August 1988, Michael Jackson arrived on tour in Spain, for the first time as a solo artist, landing in the city of Marbella.

The passion and admiration for the artist led Ana Aguilar (director) and Juan Manuel Velasco (scriptwriter) to meet in an event created by the writer himself, Michael Meeting Málaga, an annual meeting dedicated to the memory, tribute and celebration of Michael's life.

The impotence and nostalgia generated in both of them by the chronological difference that had prevented them from enjoying that concert, just a few metres and kilometres from their homes, gave rise to a constant research, both graphic and emotional, of what it was like for many others to live that moment.

The production of this short documentary film was born on a personal level but seeks to maintain a social memory among all those who experienced what it was like to have the biggest star in history, close to their homes, in a totally fleeting way.

The aim of the campaign is to be able to cover the production costs of filming, production and post-production of the team and the project.

The sole purpose is to be able to tell this story in the most professional and profitable way possible, also looking to take its projection to different locations, covering the expenses from the team.

CALENDAR

The planned schedule is closed until June 2025, but post-production will continue this full year to make different versions in other languages and formats.
