Thank you to all the patrons who have contributed so far!

We are really close to reaching our fundraising goal. We need more support—every contribution makes a difference.

With the documentary Living Hope, we want to show that there is still room for hope. Our goal is to inspire you to believe that, no matter the circumstances, happiness is still possible.

Because as long as there is a dream to pursue, something to believe in, and a reason to move forward, hope will always have a place in our lives.

The testimonies of different people will guide us on the path to hope. They will share how, through their own experiences, it is possible to find and live with hope.

Some of them may have never known it, or lost it at some point; yet today, they live with hope and share it every day—whether through their work or the way they live their lives.

Is there hope in poverty and hunger?

We’ll meet Jesús de Alba, an entrepreneur who has found his true calling by bringing food and dignity to the residents of Madrid’s poorest neighborhoods.

Is there hope in death?

Alonso García, a psychologist in a palliative care hospital, accompanies terminally ill patients and helps them die with hope. He will help us explore this profound question.

Can one find meaning in life through service to others?

We’ll meet Javier Cascón, a young man who provides shelter for the homeless and has found happiness in serving those most in need.

We’ll also meet Aisha Ruah, a rap singer who once used music as an escape and a source of comfort. Now, she dedicates her songs to speaking about God and the salvation that transformed her life.

Is there hope for today’s youth, lost and overwhelmed by constant information and the distractions of social media?

A group of young people who have found purpose through faith will also help us reflect on this question.

We’ll also be joined by Fray Marcos García, a Dominican friar who will guide us along the journey of seeking hope.

These are just some of the individuals who will take us on this powerful and moving audiovisual journey.

Where was this project born?
“We cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.” (Acts of the Apostles 4:20)

This verse has been a major source of inspiration and motivation for us in starting this project. The idea for Living Hope did not appear overnight. It was the result of several months of deep reflection, prayer, and meditation.

In a world overwhelmed by bad news, where fear and uncertainty seem to be part of everyday life, we felt a deep and urgent calling in our hearts: to do something different. To create something that not only informs but also heals. That not only shows reality, but also sparks light in the midst of so much darkness.

During this time of discernment, we kept asking ourselves:

How can we transmit true hope?

How can we become bearers of life in the midst of so much pain?

The answers didn’t come right away, but with patience, God planted within us a clear vision:

To tell real stories, about real people, who—amid their struggles—have found a strength capable of transforming suffering into faith, sadness into joy, and despair into life.

We Need Your Support

A project like this requires a great deal of effort, time, and resources—and for that, we need your help.

We need to raise over €5,500, which we believe will be enough to cover the essential expenses. Many people are generously offering their time and talents to the project without receiving any payment. Your support will help us cover the minimum budget, which will be allocated as follows:

€385 for pre-production – website, domain, hosting, email, and design

€1,650 for production – equipment rental, filming, technicians, and travel

€935 for post-production – editing, color grading, and music licensing

€770 for distribution – promotional and screening materials

€1,500 for taxes and Verkami service fees

Additionally, 4% of all funds raised will be donated to two organizations based in Madrid: Asociación Bocatas and Caritas, both of which support people at risk of social exclusion.

Who Are We?

My name is Marcel Montealegre, and this project was born from a deep longing.

For over 20 years, I’ve dedicated my life to the world of audiovisual storytelling, working on all kinds of productions—especially for television networks. But among all formats, the documentary has always been my true home: a space where stories come alive and the human soul is revealed in its purest essence.

Today, I choose to embark on this journey because I feel, now more than ever, the need to tell stories that ignite hope—stories that remind us of the beauty that still exists in the world.

To bring this vision to life, I’ll be joined by a team of talented professionals who share the same passion for doing things with excellence, quality, and heart.
