WHAT IS ICEBERG?
Iceberg is a transmedia project that focuses on initiatives that are transforming our current world to a new model that supports a dignified life for all inhabitants of the planet, human and non-human.
Iceberg aims to be a meeting place for people who do not accept that humanity has only one destiny: its disappearance. Undoubtedly, our future is not written, right now we can decide what future we want together. A space where to find information and inspiration to be part of the change, each one from his place and from his possibilities, but feeling that he is part of a global movement.
We believe that every action counts because we are intrinsically connected to our planet. We challenge the status quo to open new possibilities and build a better future.
Real change is only achieved in community, collaborating and co-creating effective solutions. We use creativity as a driving force to design a fair and sustainable world, and we know that living better with less is possible if we rediscover the value of time and human connections. The diversity of ideas and perspectives is our strength, and we act with transparency and responsibility, knowing that the trust of our followers is essential.
We believe in a balanced future, where humanity and planet coexist in harmony. This future begins today, and we invite you to join us in this transformation. Together, we can make a difference!
❄️❄️❄️
OK, BUT WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
This is about many things, starting with a podcast where we are going to talk about everything that the media tends to forget (oops, don't tell me!) when it comes to the climate crisis, but which is key if we really want to tackle pressing global issues because...yes! We can change the way we operate and thereby deter climate change, protect biodiversity or end extreme inequality. We will touch on topics such as "time poverty", the 15-hour work week or how to rethink the economy based on the Citizen Happiness Index (did you know it existed?!) to rediscover our ingenuity in finding solutions.
We will have a wide range of guests to bring you fresh perspectives, surprising ideas and conversations that will make you rethink many things.
The first podcasts we will produce if we achieve our goals are as follows:
Episode 1 🎙️: Are we suffering from time poverty?
Although we work fewer hours than we did half a century ago, many of us feel that we have no time for anything. "I just can't get enough of life" is a phrase we hear on a daily basis. To what is this "time poverty" due? In this episode, we'll explore who it affects the most, how it affects society at large, and what solutions exist to regain control of our time. We will be joined by a time policy expert, a time banking activist and a researcher in circadian rhythms.
Episode 2 🎙️: Will electric cars save us?
When talking about transitioning to green energy and reducing emissions in the transport sector, electric cars seem to be the great promise. We will understand the real potential of electric cars in electrifying the transport sector and what other paths we can take to have a good, sustainable, and accessible transport network for everyone. Our guests will be a chemical engineer, a spokesperson for the Catalan Public Transportation Association and a member from the Col·lectiu Punt 6, specialized in feminist urban planning.
Episodio 3 🎙️: What is the happiness index?
We know that GDP dominates our economic lives, but what if instead of measuring a country's success by its output, we measured it by the well-being of its people? In this episode, we'll explore how our lives and societies would change if we used the Citizen Happiness Index instead of GDP. We'll be joined by a researcher on financial justice and a doctor of biomedical sciences to discuss this revolutionary approach.
Episode 4 🎙️: Can we save without financing the war?
The data doesn't lie; all commercial and private banks finance companies and sectors with our money that we, as clients, would surely not approve of. Among these sectors are arms and fossil energy. We will understand how these sectors can only grow thanks to their complicity with banks and the financial system, and what we can do so that our money doesn't finance death but helps fund projects for life. We will have the insights of an economist journalist, an expert on ethical finances and an economics student who is trying to change the syllabus of the economics studies.
The project also has a website, and, if all goes well in the future, a documentary series.
The website will be a meeting place offering various sections dedicated to the world of change, a space where people can find inspiration and inspire others. You can visit it at: www.icebergdoc.org
The documentary series explores initiatives from around the world that are revolutionizing our model of consumption and mass waste. Addressing crucial issues such as energy, economics, the food system, democracy and mobility, these initiatives propose a new paradigm where humanity coexists in balance with its only home: the planet. In addition, the documentary includes powerful reflections from psychologists, archeologists and philosophers that challenge our understanding of life and invite us to question myths we have taken for granted. Through this critical look, it opens the door to imagine alternative futures to the environmental collapse that seems inevitable.
The documentary series will have 3 episodes of 50 minutes each:
EP 1 🎥: GDP: GROSS IDEAL PROSPERITY
We will see what keys are being developed to redirect our macroeconomy, abandoning dependence on growth and establishing a regenerative economy through the examples of the Gross National Happiness Index used by Bhutan.
EP 2 🎥: A PLANET ON A HUMAN SCALE
We will understand the relationships between energy, food production and mobility while discovering the most important projects being implemented that take into account human and planetary well-being such as the new city model of Pontevedra (Spain).
EP 3 🎥: THE NEW ERA: BIOSPHERE CONSCIOUSNESS
We will discover the world's first and only fair trade telephone and the recycled instruments of the Cateura Orchestra, initiatives that demonstrate that it is possible to change the goods production sector.
The documentary series is being financed in the audiovisual sector. As the project progresses, we will update all relevant information on our website.

WHY CROWDFUNDING?
Why not do it differently? There is no need to use the term "crowdfunding", we can talk about "creating something together" or "collaborating".
Changing the world is not something that can be done alone; it requires a collective effort. Collaboration is essential for any real transformation, and a diversity of voices and perspectives is key to finding innovative solutions.
We want this project to reflect that spirit of co-creation. Throughout the episodes, you will meet people who are working to change fundamental aspects of our society that no longer work. In the same way, we want to listen to you from the beginning. We believe that you also have ideas, projects and reflections that can enrich the world of Iceberg.
💰💰💰
WHAT WILL WE DO WITH THE FUNDS RAISED??
Every euro we raise will be carefully allocated in different areas of the project to ensure the highest quality production and maximize its impact. We want you to know exactly how the funds will be used:
The money raised will be used to finance the first 4 episodes of the podcast and the project's website:
-Research and scripting: This section covers the research we need to do to provide you with revealing content, as well as the development of the scripts for each episode
-Production: Includes recording and post-production. Our goal is that the podcast has a technical quality that matches the importance of the topics we deal with.
-Web page:This item is intended for the improvement of the website.
-Safety margin: This reserve fund covers possible unforeseen events and ensures that the project remains sustainable in the long term.
ABOUT REWARDS
We want those who support the project to be an active part of Iceberg. If we reach our goal, we will produce the 4 episodes of the podcast. In addition, if the series is produced, we will notify the backers exclusively.
🚀🚀🚀
WHEN CAN WE LISTEN TO THE PODCAST?
From the campaign end date: 5 months for podcast production and from the sixth month onwards, delivery of each podcast episode every 15 days.

If you want things to change, but you see it too big to do it alone and you don't know where to start. If you are tired of hearing that we are going to hell and there is nothing to do about it... Become a patron of Iceberg!
Like an iceberg, in the submerged part, which we cannot see, there is a global network for change. With this project we will be part of this global network. The question is not what you can do to help mitigate the climate crisis but what we can do together. Everyone's fate is at stake. There are an infinite number of possible futures and we must decide which one we will choose.
As part of Iceberg you will be an engine of change and you will have fun, because this is also an essential ingredient.
