LÓSTREGO FESTIVAL

Welcome to “Lóstrego, Coruña Fantastic Film Festival”!

We are five friends passionate about cinema who have decided to take our passion one step further by creating this festival. We have formed a non-profit association with the aim of bringing to life a unique event in our city, dedicated to fantastic cinema. Three of us work in the audiovisual world, providing experience and knowledge in various areas of production and content creation. Furthermore, we have all participated in other film festivals, which has inspired and motivated us to undertake this exciting adventure.

“Lóstrego” is not just a festival, it is a meeting point for fans, professionals and those curious about fantastic cinema. We want this festival to be an inclusive and vibrant space, where all attendees can enjoy carefully selected programming and participate in various activities and events that we have prepared with great love and dedication.

We hope you enjoy the festival as much as we have enjoyed organizing it. Your presence and participation are essential to make “Lóstrego” a memorable event. Come and explore, participate and share this unique experience with us.

Let the magic of fantastic cinema begin in A Coruña!

The festival will take place from September 3 to 6, 2025 at the main venue, the Metropolitan Forum of A Coruña. It will consist of 3 sections:

1. Projections
1.1 Official Short Film Section: A careful selection of short films will compete for the award for best International, National and Galician short film. Without forgetting the most important prize, which is the one you award through the ''Public Award''.

1.2 Feature Films: We project Galician, national and international films. Some of the films that we will try to bring to the festival will be accompanied by their directors or cast, we will even fight to bring film premieres in Spain.

2. Parallel Activities

We develop all kinds of activities from talks, masterclasses, book presentations... to painting workshops, origami for the little ones in the family and FX makeup for adults. So that you can actively participate in the festival.

3. Permanent Exhibition

Every year we have one or several exhibitions of a cultural, educational, social nature... that last from the opening to the closing of the festival.

OUR TEAM

The Lóstrego team is made up mostly of young people between 20 and 26 years old, they are all very good friends but as a team they are even better. Since each one brings unique training, skills and qualities that when they all come together they form this great team. By dedicating ourselves to different fields, we make sure that all the areas we touch at the festival are covered, so we have the following distribution:

WHAT WILL WE ALLOCATE YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS?

Lóstrego is a very complete and extensive festival, with which we have to cover the different expenses of the parallel activities (talks, masterclass...) and the awards for the winning works for best international, national, Galician and short film. ''Public Award''. In addition, we have to finance the expenses derived from diets, accommodation and transportation of the different guests and the jury, we also have to advance the costs of merchandising among other expenses that arise.

This is one of the main sources of financing for the festival, we remember that it is a completely free festival and without your help and that of different public and private organizations, we would not be able to carry it out.

REWARDS

In the right column (or at the top if you are on a mobile device) are the different rewards that you can get with your contributions. We remember that the designs and the rewards themselves are handmade by the Lóstrego team so they are made with a lot of love and gratitude. You also have to keep in mind that many of these rewards are exclusive and you can only get them here.

The rewards will be delivered in person during the festival (from September 3 to 6), you can request them from our production team that will be distributed throughout the Metropolitan Forum. In case of any unforeseen event, you can contact us through our social networks or our email [email protected]. You can also arrange a pickup on other dates outside the festival to collect the rewards and if you need shipping, it is better that you contact us.
