Morocco on two wheels and many threads

I am Glòria, a young woman passionate about motorcycles and sewing. Since childhood, motorcycles have been a part of my life; I don't remember the moment I learned to ride, I just did. Over the years, I discovered another great passion: sewing. Now, I want to combine these two passions in a special project that will take me to explore Morocco on a motorcycle.

My goal is to travel to Morocco to connect with its rich culture and share experiences through fashion. I want to learn from local artisans, exchange techniques and materials, and bring back a part of this vibrant culture.

During the trip, I will document the entire process, from sourcing materials and new techniques to the adventures on two wheels.

With all the experiences learned, the materials I acquire there, and the knowledge of their techniques, I will prepare all the rewards for the campaign, which will be delivered upon my return. It will be quite a challenge.

Why Morocco?

Morocco is a captivating country; every time you leave, you want to return. The Moroccan people are known for their hospitality and kindness. It's common to be invited for mint tea and offered the most delicious sweets while conversing, providing an authentic insight into their daily life.

Their cuisine is a festival of flavors; they prepare dishes with products from the land. Their fresh fruits, vegetables, and greens create a unique gastronomic experience.

The variety of landscapes is incredible, from the impressive Atlas Mountains where you might experience the coldest weather of your life, to the vast dunes of the Sahara Desert where you'll feel the heat. The small villages along the way remind you that it's possible to live with very little and still be very happy.

The Moroccan markets are a feast for the senses, full of colors, smells, and sounds. Here you can find local crafts, spices, textiles, and jewelry, offering a unique shopping experience.

Rewards

The rewards will be handmade by me and can be personalized to each patron's taste, except for some products that will be purchased from Moroccan artisans.

All pieces will be unique, inspired by Moroccan culture, colors, fabrics, and typical trimmings.

Most of the rewards are home textiles, so we can incorporate into our daily lives elements that allow us to continue the fusion of cultures and experiences that characterize this journey.

Proposed Timeline

The trip is planned to start on October 25 and end on November 3, 2024.

All rewards will be made upon my return with the elements and techniques acquired during the adventure.

The deadline to deliver them to each patron will be a couple of months from my return, aiming for most pieces to arrive before Christmas.
