Please come to the best festival of traditional Japanese culture in the center of Catalonia.

"Matsuri" is a place of cultural exchange through traditional dance, music and food.

In 2013 we celebrated Matsuri for the first time.

In recent years, more than 25,000 people have attended Matsuri, and today it has become one of the largest Japanese festivals in Barcelona.

This year we will celebrate the 10th Matsuri at the beautiful Moll de la Fusta beach, on June 15th and 16th.

We want to organize the best Matsuri in this anniversary year.

We want to preserve the traditional Japanese culture, which has a very long history and diversity. This Matsuri is a valuable place for you to get to know the real traditional culture of Japan and see it with your own eyes.

Every year, the artists present spectacular performances with their traditional dance and music. This year you will enjoy beautiful performances that have never been seen before in Japan.

We would like to unite all people with the charm of traditional Japanese culture and convey the alternative narrative to the popularized culture such as manga and otaku.

Our goal is to connect young people with the essence of Japan, and we believe that this goal is essential for the development of our society and our future.

This year will be bigger and better! We need your help to organize the best Matsuri Barcelona in this anniversary year.

Tenugui is a traditional towel from Japan and has many uses, such as drying your hands, decorating your room, etc. Yuna Kono dyed it with indigo. Special design for Matsuri Barcelona 2024. Size is about 34cm x 90cm (Limit 30 Tenugui).

VIP seating on the day of the event (limited to 6 people)

On the day of Matsuri Barcelona, June 15th and 16th, we will offer VIP seating, including food and drinks, so that you can enjoy the event more comfortably. We will put a Japanese cushion called "Zabuton" on your seat.

How we will use your contributions

We will use your contributions to invite more artists to give spectacular performances at the Matsuri (cost of round-trip tickets between Barcelona and Japan, cost of transporting the instruments and the price of accommodation, etc...).

Planned schedule

The crowdfunding will end on June 18th, the date of the Matsuri Festival will be June 15th and 16th 2024 at the Moll de la Fusta (Barcelona). Once the crowdfunding is finished, we will send the corresponding rewards in June-September.

Who we are

Matsuri has been running for 10 years thanks to the passion of a large group of people. Every year we all come together to create the Matsuri Festival with all our enthusiasm without receiving anything in return. Our will is to bring the traditional Japanese culture to everyone and now is your chance to join us, with your collaboration you can also be the protagonists of this festival.
