Hello Pitxos!

First of all, we would like to thank you for clicking on our verkami link and for having an interest in the Pitxorines project. We are VERY excited to take this next step in recording our first PITXOCD. We have invested many hours of work in this and it would make us very happy if you could help us with an financial contribution to be able to bring it to life and share with you all. As many of you may know, the expenses of recording an album and associated costs are high, so that's why we need your help.

The Pitxorines project started in January 2023, and since then we have been shaping and working on it with much care. After the amazing reception it has had, we have decided that *at the beginning of 2024 we will record our first album: *Pitxorines **. It will consist of a compilation of nine songs that we have arranged and played during this past year.

WHY SHOULD YOU HELP?

Apart from the merchandising on sale at the concerts (CD’s and t-shirts), we are offering you EXCLUSIVE products such as mugs, tickets to the Listening Party, a signed card, the album signed by the nine members or having your name appear in the booklet disk in the form of thank you.

We are also offering associations or entities the possibility of hiring Pitxorines for a reduced price of €1,000 (price does not include equipment or a sound technician).

WHO ARE WE?

Pitxorines is a band of nine girls from Mallorca who want to share the songs they grew up with, which belong to the Mallorcan popular repertoire. With our own musical arrangements, we have revisited these songs from a new perspective, with influences of the different types of music that each component of the group has studied. These include jazz, classical and traditional.

All of the nine Pitxorines have music degrees from different conservatories around the country, ( The Liceu Barcelona, the CSMIB Mallorca etc.) and are currently working as full-time musicians and teachers.

The word Pitxorina means "young, cheerful and frolicking girl". It’s a now disused Mallorcan word originating from the eastern of side of the island. Here’s a brief presentation of its members:

• Maria Adrover (flabiol and tamborino, xeremies, transverse flute, voice) is the pitxo-rastafolky. - from Campos

• Rosa Garcias (flute and voice) is the pitxo-tradipolida. - from Lucmajor

• Maria Antònia Gili (flugel) is the older pitxorina. - from Artà

• Sinéad Cormican (violin and voice) is the Irish-armablanca-pitxo. - from Calvià

• Carmela Cristos (cello) is the pitxogalaicovilera. - from Marratxí

• Masé Jara (double bass and vocals) is the pitxosorprendente. - from Palma

• Sílvia Rechac (piano) is the pitxosecretary. from - Capdepera

• Bel Miquel (percussion) is the authentic pitxo. from - Manacor

WHO HELPED US WITH OUR MERCH? WHERE AND WHEN CAN I FIND IT?

The designs of the logo, t-shirts, CD/single cover been designed by the Mallorcan graphic designer Guillem Contestí, also known as Il Contastini. For the design of the cups we were lucky to work with Aina Crespí.

The shirts are made by Partisano company. They are 100% organic cotton shirts, which have the vegan and eco label, and are also manufactured without labour exploitation in Catalonia.

The cups, which are handcrafted in Spain by the Retropot family company, are made of steel producing a durable high-quality finish. The image on the mug will never vanish, just like our endless gratitude for the support that each of you give us.

You can pick up all of the purchases in stores such as Espai Xocolat (Palma), Llibreria de s'Espai Mallorca (Barcelona), Cas Retratista (Montuïri), S'Escat (Manacor), or at our concerts. If you would like to recieve your purchases at home, the corresponding shipping costs will apply. We plan to release the album in March, so the merch will be available after the album release. We will announce the dates of the presentation concert and the listening party on our social media.

HOW WILL YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS BE INVESTED?

Your contributions will be used to cover the costs of the project:

• 43% will cover the cost of recording, mixing and mastering the CD.

• 33% will cover merchandising (T-shirts, stickers and mugs)

• 14% will cover audiovisual material (photographs and video clips).

• 10% will cover the designs and layout of the CD.
