ABOUT US:
Smoked Cotton is a blues band from Madrid that has its origins back in 2008. Six strangers who came together to form this group and that found in the blues, not just a musical genre, but a lifestyle.
During the last four years we have been playing in the best venues of Madrid and part of Spain. All that time has served to forge a friendship between all of the band crew and play our own music as an unmistakable stamp.
OUR PROJECT:
The lives of the Smoked Cotton crew after four years has taken many turns and it's time to realize our passion for music, and the blues, on a record. We have enough material, energy and creativity to make a record that meets our expectations as a group. And it could set us in a realistic within the national blues scene.
This project not only intend to get as rewards our first album, but get something beyond. Our idea is that once the disc is in our hands, make a presentation of the disk and allocate the profits from the sale of the disc in that event as the sale of tickets to the Lumière foundation. The Lumière foundation is a foundation that promotes and disseminates the cinema in our country.

STEPS AFTER REACHING THE GOAL:
If we get the goal, in three weeks we could record the disc. We need a couple of weeks more to receive the Mastering and all the copies that we need. We could present the album in one of the large capacity concert hall in Madrid and then all the benefits we obtain in that event will be for the Childrens Aganist Cancer. The money obtained from the presentation of the disc and charity venues with consequent association agreed with the Lumière foundation. Their activities are focused in research the causes and prevention of child and adolescent cancer.
Our campaign can be effective because of the contacts we have on Facebook and twitter. We also have the support of the Association of Blues in Madrid and local media like Radio Onda Latina and Radio Enlace with programs that have great track from the blues community. We believe in their support as well as members of other bands and friends can be crucial achieving the objective.

The songs we have selected for the disc and the contribution to the Foundation Lumière y Children Against Cancer are made with the heart. Each of the subjects express our passion for the blues, the need to be part of the history of the blues from Madrid, and an encouragement in the difficult time for the band going. The friendship and the blues music endures and we want to materialize it in a disk. Our first album finally. This is a good opportunity for us and we expect you to help us make this dream come true.
