AMY - Shortfilm

Hello! We are La Naranja Biónica, an audiovisual production company based in Mallorca. Since 2012 we have produced short films, music videos and webseries, all rich in Vitamin C and iron.

We are currently working on AMY, a psychological thriller short film where ALAN, starring Guiem Juaneda (El Perfecto Desconocido, Verano Rojo) is kidnapped by AMY, his own car, which has taken on its own will and is determined to make its driver come to his senses at any price...

We have launched this crowfunding campaign to give the short film the cinematic finish it deserves. It is already filmed and with your help we will finance the post-production and distribution process.

Amy is apparently an ordinary car, a 1990 Nissan 300zx that Alan cares for devotedly as you care for someone with whom you share your feelings and concerns. But this relationship may turn against them when Amy finds out that Alan has been seeing a girl he met on a dating app.

Jealousy and lies will turn the ride into a real nightmare if Amy unleashes her anger....

Based in Mallorca, he founded the production company La Naranja Biónica in 2012, with which he has made all his short films, including: The Body (2016), winner of best female interpretation in Port Adriano short film contest; Somos tu felicidad (2016), international award "7 días 1 corto" (7 days, one shortfilm), Bloody Night (2018), finalist in Fake Trailers DarkFest festival; and 408 (2019) selected in international festivals such as Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival and Bogofest.

He has also directed the video for Real Mallorca's Toca Remar campaign in 2017 and music videos for various artists, including singers like Bruno Sotos, Luis Correas and Latin Grammy winner Juanjo Monserrat, with whom he has won several selections at festivals such as "BARCIFF" and "MONOCICLE" for his music video Més que Amics (2021).

Since 2018 he works at the Rafa Nadal Academy as responsible for audiovisual content.

Graduated from CEF in photography and film directing. As a director of photography he has worked in both feature films and television.

Among his most outstanding cinematographic works are the feature film Verano Rojo by Carles Jofre (2016); short films such as 408 by Ismael Luna (2019), Tras el Portal by Valentine Iconaru (2022) and in documentaries such as Destrucció Creativa d'una Ciutat by Carles Bover (2019), the most recent Pantalles Buides by Miguel Eek (2022) and Ulisses by Joan Bover, nominated for best documentary short film at the Goya awards in 2021.

As for television works, he has been DOP in the cultural TV shows of IB3 TV Els Entusiastes and Tèntol, Special Mention in the International Festival ZOOM of Igualada.

Oscar Ruiz, also known as Oscar Rip, has studied audiovisual production and graphic design at CEF school in Mallorca. Always focused on developing his artistic career and fanzine creation, he showed a strong passion in the artistic department of Posesión Inmobiliaria by Joan de Matos (2020), undertaking the creation and design of the graphic department.

Also in his own short film FANTATERROR (2023) he was able to apply all his artistic skills in production design. He has also participated in the art department in productions such as Els Mal by David Mataró (2021), Un Parell de Cançons Després by Jaume Carrió (2021), Furia by Toni Bestard (2021), Un Diumenge Qualsevol by Eugenia Sampedro (2022) and more recently in the yet to be released film Un Paseo por el Borne by Nick Igea.

With a degree in dramatic arts from ESADIB, she began her acting career in 2012 both in theater and in films and television.

Her work includes roles in the Balearic series Treufoc (2017), Migjorn (2015) and Amor de Cans (2018), the short films Background (2018) by Toni Bestard and Hostal Orion (2018) by Jaume Carrió and the feature films Verano Rojo (2017) by Charly Jofre and Pullman (2019) by Toni Bestard.

She has also presented the show Ben Trobat (2018) and outside the acting field she is the writer of the children's novel Viatge al Mon de N'Aina: La reina dels Embulls and lead singer in the music band Lost in Translation.

He began his acting career early in 2007 in the series Laberint de Passions (2007) and Llàgrima de Sang (2008-2010) of IB3 TV and continued as a supporting actor in the Tele5 series Un golpe de suerte (2009). At only 19 he starred in the feature film El perfecto desconocido (2011) by Toni Bestard and decided to study at ESADIB, where he graduated in Drama with a specialization in textual acting.

Since then he has participated in numerous theater, television and film productions, such as his starring role in the feature film Verano Rojo (2017) by Charly Jofre, En Acabar (2017) by Guillem Miró which earned him the award for best actor at the Films Infest film festival and in the short film Woody and Woody (2018) directed by Jaume Carrió and winner of the Goya for best animated short film that same year.

We start with the advantage that the short film has already been filmed, with a private investment by the members of La Naranja Biónica.

Now we need a last financial push thanks to your contributions, which will help us cover part of the filming costs, but above all post-production expenses which include both the composition of the Soundtrack, audio post-production, the **color grading and VFX.

We will also use some of the money to prepare the crowdfunding rewards such as the merchandising of the short film or the arrangement of the private screenings in different cities of Spain, so that you have the opportunity to enjoy AMY on the big screen.

Once the crowdfunding campaign is launched we will start with the post-production of the short film.

In April we will begin to deliver the rewards and schedule private screenings of the short film. Our intention is to enter the short film at the International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia SITGES, which takes place in October.
