WHY THIS PROJECT?
After numerous years of searching and working, our first recording project, Gaman Ensemble, is coming to light. The saxophone quartet challenges the standards of chamber music from past centuries, positioning itself as a leading formation in the 21st century thanks to its unparalleled versatility.
Through our own adaptations, we showcase the evolution of Spanish music in the French capital over the last hundred years. In this way, we present a group of Spanish composers who, like us, passed through Paris to enrich themselves musically and intellectually.
The repertoire of this project not only aims to show the symbiosis between Spanish and French musical culture, but also to value the music of composers who do not receive the recognition they deserve, such as Jesús Guridi and Joaquín Nin. In addition, we are committed to new music, specifically commissioning the work "Il Dolore" by Félix Ibarrondo, the national music prize winner in 2019.
Furthermore, to expand the social and cultural impact of the CD, we are developing a music video in collaboration with the Spanish Embassy in France and filmmaker Loïc Edgard Guilpain. Through this resource, we aim to increase the visibility of all the composers and the project.
The CD will be produced with the prestigious record label IBS Classical.

WHO ARE WE?
We are four Spanish saxophonists who coincided in Paris while pursuing our studies, and in 2019, we decided to start playing together and form the GAMAN ENSEMBLE project.
Our shared love for chamber music has been the common essence among us, leading us to pursue a Master's degree in Chamber Music, with a unanimous first prize, at the National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris, alongside David Walter.
Throughout all these years, we have been accompanied by great mentors, such as Claude Delangle and Vincent David.
HOW WILL WE USE THE MONEY?
100% of the profits obtained will be used for the recording and production expenses of the album.
