'With a kiss I die' is a romantic melodrama, a kind of LGTBIQ+ Romeo and Romeo mixed with zombies, in which family, society and even a deadly virus are constantly interposed between two boys who love each other deeply.
The project was born as a small idea between two film students who wanted to experiment with the horror genre, with few pretensions and a very limited budget. Little by little, we were expanding the universe that we had created, to give way to an ambitious production and a quality product.
What is this story about
Dan has always lived under the shadow of an ultra-conservative and religious family, which always set the strict path for him to follow, controlling each and every aspect of his life. After the death of his parents, Dan is left in the care of his grandmother his, who, although she wanted to continue instilling these values in him, was the only person who had shown him any affection throughout those gray years.
When Dan enters the University, he meets Lucas, with whom he inadvertently falls madly in love. However, the fear that his grandmother might find out about his reality leads him to totally hide the relationship they both started.
After the outbreak of the Apocalypse and the zombies taking over the streets, Dan and Lucas have to continue hiding to be able to see each other, being aware that they are risking their lives in each of their encounters, until that something happens that will change everything forever.

Where the money goes
Green is the color of zombies, but also of money.
First of all, we must clarify that none of the people involved in the production, both the technical team and the cast, have received anything for participating in this project, so 100% of the proceeds will go to the expenses of the same:
Makeup: The soul of any fantasy work. Prosthesis, cremacolor, mastix... and above all, blood, lots of blood.
Costume: Another important production cost. Our zombies want, above all, to look handsome. And eating tripe stains a lot, of course.
Transportation and diets: The rental of the vans that we have needed to transport the material between the different locations has been another important expense, and totally necessary. As well as food, since the team does not feed on brains.
Soundtrack: We have a classic GREAT SONG that fits 1000% in the editing of our short, for this, we are in negotiations with the DYNAMIC DUO himself. Without a doubt, something that will greatly enrich our history.
Distribution and festivals: We have a great project on our hands, so we hope to participate with it in all possible festivals, having to pay their fees.
Premiere: We all like big premieres, why fool ourselves. The premiere in a small room with all the equipment and the people who want to join us would be the icing on the (meat) cake that we deserve after the great effort made.

The vast majority of the members of this team have met at the Madrid Film Institute, where each one of us studied in different Diplomas, here we leave you a small bio of each member:
- Cast
Santiago Pedrazolli is one of the protagonists of our story. He was born in the US in an Argentine migrant family. At the age of 14, already in Madrid, he began his training at EMAD. Until today he continues to train with teachers such as Fernando Piernas, Andrés Lima or María Morales, and in centers such as La Joven Compañía or the Madrid Film Institute.
On stage he has represented works by authors such as Lope de Vega, Valle-Inclán, Darío Fo or Lorca. In 2023 he has starred in the theatrical adaptation of "Some good men" and a micro-theater under the direction of Miguel Alcantud. In the last three years he has participated in more than 15 short films for independent producers and schools such as ECAM or ICM. He is also a graduate in Sociology and Political Science.

Luis Zanfir plays Dan, the other key piece in our story. Born in Alcalá de Henares with Romanian descent, Luis studies 2nd year of Acting at the Madrid Film Institute. Despite being only 19 years old, he has worked on numerous advertising campaigns (Warner, McDonalds, Dominos Pizza, Orange, Honor, Milanuncios...) if his face sounds familiar to you, it is very likely that you have seen him in more than one ad on your Instagram feed.

We have also had the invaluable help of our zombies (extras), among which the great Toni García stands out in the role of Dan's grandmother, known for working on numerous advertising campaigns, video clips, series like Cuéntame (Rtve), Todos menten (Movistar+), Bellas Artes (Movistar+), Invisible (Disney+) and movies like The Champion (2023, Carlos Theron), among other projects, in addition to our colleagues Natalia Hurtado , Leo Bercetche and Rafa Monterreal.
- DIRECTORS
My stage name is Ian Loren, Fran for my friends. I was born in a town in deep Spain, where opportunities were scarce and which quickly became too small for me, so I ended up studying Audiovisual Production in Marbella, working as a photographer and videographer ever since. After several ups and downs, pirouettes and unexpected turns of life, I decided to finally pursue my dream, share everything that is in my head, tell stories, make movies.
I have been studying the Diploma in Film Directing at the Madrid Film Institute for two years. To this day, I have 3 short films as a director and screenwriter behind me: "The chalk game" (2022), * "The part of his life that he wants to show me"* (2023) and "Happy couple" (2023) that are yet to be released, in which I have always tried to capture my personal vision and LGBTIQ+ perspective of life.

My friend and partner Amy Martinez is the other part of the equation. She was born and lived in Cuba for 21 years, suffering the repression of living in a country without democracy, which did not prevent her from seeing an immense amount of cinema (she is really a walking film library). She loves cinema above all things.
In Cuba she worked on different audiovisual projects such as "Proyecto Destellos" as well as several video clips. She studied still photography at the FocusStudio school in Miami (United States) and has worked as a photographer on and off ever since. She came to Madrid to study the Diploma in Film Direction at the Madrid Film Institute, where we met. We have worked together on several occasions, being DOP in the short film "The part of his life that he wants to show me" and Art Dire of the short "The Chalk Game". She wrote the short film "When the nymphets grow up" directed by Laura Vago. She has also directed the short film "La Nota".

Carlos Bermudo is our Director of Photography, originally from Seville, he came to Madrid to study Film Directing and is currently finishing his Diploma in Photography Direction at the Madrid Film Institute.
In his team he has Luis Kevedo as focus puller, Oliver Hyde as camera assistant, Jesús Ortega as gaffer, Ana María López as photo assistant and Sergio Calvo as an electrician, all students of the same Diploma at the ICM.
- ART
Lourdes Sarmiento is our Art Director, she studied Audiovisual Communication in Seville, where she discovered her passion for Art Direction in "Scenography and Misplay", finishing training at the Madrid Film Institute in the Diploma of Art direction. She has worked on video clips, documentaries and short films in which I have contributed her artistic vision. Some of them have been: "Agnus Dei" (Cecilia Krull Feat. Mala Rodriguez, 2019), "Shall we play with her ?" (David Carrillo, 2019), "The Narcissist" (R.Cohello, 2022), "Chocolate" (Antonio Toro, 2022) and "Winter" (R.Cohello, 2023).
Ekaitz Urzelai has also been in charge of the art direction on the shoot. He comes from Gipuzkoa and studies Film Direction at the Madrid Film Institute, but his love of art has led him to enroll in Art Direction next year. He has worked in video clips and short films in different positions, but his most prominent role has been as director of the Webseries "Beita", available on YouTube.
- MAKEUP AND CHARACTERIZATION
Isa Mellado is our head of makeup. She was born in Lorca (Murcia), she began making audiovisual projects in Granada, later this passion for cinema led her to study Characterization and Makeup for Cinema at the Madrid Film Institute. Thanks to this, he has been able to participate in projects such as "You will not kill" and "With the same stone" both TFGs of the Film career of the Camilo José Cela University, "There was never time" and the "Game of the chalk" of a server, in which he did a wonderful job, so working together again was something that had to happen.
In her team she has Javier Martín, Elena and Fran Silva, all students of the Makeup and Characterization Diploma at the Madrid Film Institute.
- PRODUCTION AND SOUND
Manuel López is our Head of Production, an engineer by profession and future filmmaker by vocation training in the production branch of the Madrid Film Institute, he has participated in the last year and a half in the art department in shorts "When the Nymphals Grow" (Laura Vago, 2022) and "La Rampa" (Juanfer Andrés, 2022). He has recently been the producer and screenwriter of "3 AM" (Alejandro Reviejo, 2023) and is preparing to make the leap to directing video clips.
Fede Zordán was our head of production on set. He saved our lives on more than one occasion and without his help we would not have been able to shoot. He is a student of the Film Directing Diploma at the Madrid Film Institute and has extensive experience in the audiovisual sector, especially in advertising. His short film "Madrid" (2022), was one of the finalists at the Notodofilm Festival 2022.
Alejandro Reviejo has been our production assistant, helping with all the necessary steps on filming. He is also a fellow Director at the Madrid Film Institute.
Leo Bercetche is our sound engineer, although he is studying a Diploma in Film Directing at the Madrid Film Institute, he has experience and a passion for sound, so he intends to take a Diploma in Sound next year, although Being a zombie pole vaulter is something that he has only been able to experience on our shoot.
- ADDRESS
Violeta González is our Assistant Director, checking that all shots are shot on time and in the best possible way. He has worked on "El tocadiscos" (Ámbar Espinosa, 2022), "Ouroboros" (Amanda Ferrer, 2022), "Mesa Abierta" (Pedro de Echevarría, 2023) and is studying for a Film Directing Diploma in the Film Institute of Madrid.
Ainhoa Pedroso is our Second Assistant Director, in addition, she has also been in charge of helping us with the costumes of the characters. She is also a partner in the Diploma in Film Directing, and has directed short films such as "Manterrupt" (2020), "Cura Mortis" (2020), "Mismx" (2023 ) or "The Muse" (2023).
Laura Cobreros is our Script, that is, the person who takes care of, among other things, that no. there are raccord failures in the short film. She also studies Film Direction at the Madrid Film Institute, and works on the prestigious musical "Aladdin" in Madrid.
Last but not least, Odette Dolinski and Natalia Hurtado, also colleagues and friends from the Madrid Film Institute, are our Assistant Directors, they have been of great help doing all the necessary tasks for the filming to continue, from blocking the path of people on the street to substituting in the positions that were necessary, among many others.
When does it come out
The short film was shot between the end of May of this year and the beginning of June, at this moment it is in the post-production period.
Despite the fact that, in principle, the idea is for the short to be presented at festivals (which means that it cannot be released in public for at least a year), we want to do a preview in a small movie theater for relatives and collaborators with the project this month of October-November, so the rewards will be available, at the latest, in November of this year.
