Hello!

My name is Sergio de Miguel, and I'm a 21-year-old pianist and composer from Vigo, Galicia (Spain).

In a few months, I will finish my studies at Berklee College of Music, with a double major in Film Scoring and Piano Performance, thanks to the Gloria and Emilio Estefan scholarship granted by the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation in 2019.

Throughout these years at Berklee, I've had the opportunity to meet very talented musicians from many parts of the world, with whom I've shared the stage and who have helped me grow as a musician.

The “Atlántida” project was born almost two years ago when I began to compose each of the songs that are part of this album. “Atlántida” is a project that fuses the music of Galicia with jazz, flamenco, Latin music, and elements of classical music. It's made up of tunes that tap on the influence of many different styles that represent a link between many of the cultures of the Atlantic: Spanish, Celtic, Caribbean, American or African.

The first song on the album, "Muiñeira de Chantada", which is an arrangement of a traditional Galician song, received recognition in the United States such as the 2022 Downbeat Magazine Best Small Jazz Combo (Sergio de Miguel Trio) or the 2022 Yamaha Performing Artist.

One of the main characteristics of this project is its cultural diversity since it not only presents these influences but also has the talent of musicians from Spain, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Bulgaria, Colombia, Japan, Cuba or Brazil; musicians who bring their essence to the project and make it have a unique sound.

The purpose of this campaign is to raise the necessary funds to cover the cost of producing this project. The recording studio, the musicians, the engineers, the editing, mixing and mastering, the design or the promotion suppose very high costs and difficult to cover for an independent artist like me, so I would like to make you part of this project!

With your collaboration, we would be able to reach the goal and make this project a reality!

Any type of contribution is more than welcome, and I would greatly appreciate it if you share this campaign with your friends, family, or acquaintances, as this will give the project greater visibility and help us achieve the final goal.

About the rewards

You can be part of this campaign by purchasing different rewards. From the signed "Atlántida" CD to an online masterclass, through the signed sheet music of the album, the ticket to the presentation concert in Vigo (Galicia)or to a Private Virtual Concert (rest of the World)

Any type of contribution is more than welcome, and I would greatly appreciate it if you share this campaign with your friends, family, or acquaintances, as this will give the project greater visibility and help us achieve the final goal.
