TRIBE, originally referred to a culturally homogeneous set of families with a real or mythical ancestor.

Last Tribe is a creative family and represents a constant learning and evolving process. Where creativity is the ancestor that unites and catalyses. A journey through the world's oldest cultures in order to portray the most current.

LAST TRIBE - SPIRITUAL TATTOO is a documentary about the tattoo artist Mauricio Valdes, one of the most original tattoo artists in the world.

This will portray the creative process of this nomad and his relationship with tattoo or spiritual healing, his relationship with the tattooed and connections for years with the last tribes of this planet who practice body modification as part of their culture / religion (Long Neck (Thailand), Kalinga (Philippines), Mentawai (Indonesia), Rapa Nui (Easter Island), etc ...)

WHERE ARE WE?

Well now we are in northern Thailand, on the border of Burma, in the golden triangle. At present we are shooting and just finishing the editing of the film Spiritual Tattoo to start submitting it to festivals. It is already in preselecion at the festival "Point of View" INAAC

WHERE SO WE GO?

We travel together as a nomadic family around the world to visit cultures and tribes with tattoo tradición to reach Easter Island where Mauricio Hugeat lived for more than 20 years and reached personal maturity as a tattooist.

MONEY

We have over 6000 euros already invested in this project but as always it is simply not enough and so I ask for your help. With dontions of patrons we can receive a little push to help us move forward with this exciting project.

I will donate money to basically two things:

-Purchase of technical equipment (microphones, lenses, etc ...)

And production costs (transport of material, aid to the tribes who we visit, running costs and fees, etc ...)

But of course we can and do try to minimize incidental charges.

SOLIDARITY

We will visit to four of the last tribes on the planet: Long Neck, Mentawai, Kalinga and Rapa Nui.

Some of the villages of these tribes live in poverty or operated by the government that gives them political asylum, as in the case of refugees Long Neck with the government of Thailand.

The intent of this aid is booking 10% of the money and give it directly to the community without having to pass any administrative filter. Of all the money raised from this award will be divided equally between Long Neck, Kalinga and Mentawai.

WHEN YOU WILL SEE?

The first part of the project will be ready very soon, in early 2013. Spiritual Tattoo is finished and it is the appetizer that many people around the world await.

The Last Tribe should be ready between late 2013 and early 2014, depending on the nature of the filming, editing and post production.
