The Man Who Dreams Awake, new album by Marc Cortadelles

Hello! This campaign aims to reach 3,000€ to cover the basic expenses for the edition of my 2nd album: The man who dreams awake. For three years I have written hundreds of songs and we are now recording the best ones. It's a record that I've always dreamed about with Pau Riba, Iñigo Muguruza (Kortatu and Negu Gorriak), Hector Fons on drums, Alvaro Atom Blues on harmonica and Guillem Vellvé at the cello.

It will be in Catalan, rocky, bluesy, cheerful and combative! There will also be a song in Basque (where Iñigo Muguruza appears), one in English and one Spanish.

The photo and design of the cover is by my mother, a professional designer who already did the 1st album! There are four rusted bars that seem like blood, like those of the catalan flag. The bars remind me in jail and I from outside (freedom) denouncing the imprisonment for political reasons with my music. In a song on the album I finish a speech with a megaphone saying: "We do not tolerate more aggressions to the population. We do not tolerate imprisonment for political reasons. Freedom! Let's break the chains!!!"

Who I am

I made an art debut in Irun in 2015. In 2016 I released my 1st album, Caminando (walking). I have been doing concerts for the Basque Country and Catalonia alone or with the French guitarist with whom I recorded the album. A year ago I published the video clip Sent l'esperança (Fell The Hope) to support yes of the catalan referendum sining in a sailboat. Is this: {youtube: https: //www.youtube.com/watch? Last spring I made concerts in Reus and Tarragona with Hector Fons, a drummer from Alicante. In one of these concerts, he also played the cellist Guillem Vellvé with his violoncello from XIX century. Both musicians accompany me to the new album. Enric Granollers was the sound engineer and producer of Caminando and I am lucky to work with him again.
