The called, Skate Church, is an old temple situated in “Llanera” Asturias
Reconverted by the collective Church Brigade in a skate park, place of pilgrimaje for the skate lovers.
Artist Okuda San Miguel will fill of color its walls, vaults and glasswork to complete this reinterpretation of the church like a place of gathering artistic and cultural reference in this century.
His iconic artistic piece Kaos Star represents a colorful and isometric rose of the winds that tries to tell us that it does not matter were you are, or what you are doing, what matters are your own goals. He was totally inspired by the space, and made him think of it as a KAOS Temple.
Without question, this will be one of the most important milestones of his career. A creative expression that would love to be a part of the cultural upheaval and will bring a new era to the spaces for art.

Una vez terminado el plazo para hacer efectivas las recompensas pendientes, este jueves tendrá lugar la presentación pública de Kaos Temple, de 12 a 14 horas en la propia Iglesia Skate.
Si vivís por la zona (o no) y estáis interesados en acudir, ni que decir tiene que estás invitados. Os agradeceríamos, eso sí, que nos lo confirmarais por aquí.
Por otro lado, ya estamos dando los primeros pasos en la producción de las diferentes recompensas. Algunas de ellas (tablas, libro...) tardarán más que otras. Os pedimos, una vez más, paciencia al respecto.
Ayer presentamos una nueva recompensa que hemos incorporado para estos últimos días de crowdfunding: se trata de una colección única de 111 pares de calcetines de la marca Socketines de algodón orgánico que cuentan con diseño de Okuda San Miguel.
A 3 días del final del proceso, el objetivo parece lejano. Sin embargo, creemos que es posible y el flujo de los últimos días nos hace pensar que el objetivo será finalmente logrado.
No obstante, desde aquí os animamos a que sigáis contándoles acerca de Kaos Temple a todo aquel familiar o amigo que pudiera estar interesado en ser parte de este proyecto transformador.
Esta es, probablemente, las recompensa más icónica de cuantas hayamos puesto a disposición de los mecenas. Representa la Kaos Star, esa especia de rosa de los vientos que ha servido de inspiración a todo este proyecto. Pero lo hace en un formato totalmente novedoso que hará las delicias de todos los amantes del arte y del interiorismo: un print digital en metacrilato sobre estructura de caja de madera.
¡Ya falta poco! Venga, que esto lo tenemos que conseguir.
La semana pasada os escribimos acerca de los modelos de tablas de skate que Okuda San Miguel ha diseñado con motivo del proyecto Kaos Temple. Hoy queremos hablar de una recompensa que le hace especial ilusión al artista, y que en lugar de ir dirigida a un tipo de público muy concreto, como el skater, puede ser del gusto de gentes dispares.
Se trata del libro conmemorativo del proyecto Kaos Temple. En él se recopilará todo lo que ha sido el proceso de creación del mismo, desde la idea loca inicial hasta la transformación definitiva de la iglesia. Pero, además, también repasará lo que ha sido la trayectoria artística de Okuda hasta la fecha. Sin duda, un bonito objeto de deseo para todos aquellos amantes del arte.
No queremos despedirnos sin, a dos semanas del fin del proceso de autofinanciación, agradeceros de nuevo vuestra
Durante esta última semana hemos estado comunicando una serie de recompensas. Entre ellas, las tablas de skate diseñadas por Okuda.
Son dos modelos diferentes (Dark y Light) de las que se fabricarán, en exclusiva para este proyecto de crowdfunding, 111 (número fetiche del artista) unidades de cada una.
Todas las tablas serán numeradas y firmadas por Okuda.
En primer lugar, agradeceros de nuevo que os hayáis sumado a este proyecto de transformación de este espacio, la Iglesia Skate, en un espacio cultural de primer orden de la mano de Okuda.
Para que podáis haceros una idea, sobre todo aquellos no familiarizados con la obra de Okuda, os dejamos este vídeo de una de sus intervenciones en este 2015.
Ocurrió en la India, donde el artista se desplazó para participar en un festival de arte urbano en Nueva Delhi y realizó un mural de gran escala. Sin embargo, quizás lo más impresionante fue su trabajo sobre uno de los típicos vagones de tren indios (el medio de transporte más utilizado en el mundo), una suerte de tributo a la tradición graffitera.
Recordaros también que necesitamos vuestra colaboración a la hora de difundir el proyecto Kaos Temple entre vuestras personas cercanas: boca a boca, a través de las redes sociales que uséis… ¡cualquier método no vale!

Comentaros que la campaña de comunicación ya está en marcha y está teniendo muy buena aceptación: artistas a los que admiramos ya han mostrado públicamente su apoyo al proyecto, lo cual nos llena de orgullo, así como ya están surgiendo las primeras apariciones en prensa.
