THE PROJECT.
Making films, economically, has never been easy, and nowadays the matter complicates until infinity. State subsidies destined to filming ideas has suffered substantial cuts and pretending to reach them from a humble project conducted by a working team practically unknown in the Canarian audiovisual outlook is almost impossible. That’s why we come to you relative, friend, partner, known, or audiovisual professional, through the platform of crowdfunding. As audiovisual artists and almost in abandonment of institutions, we have to keep believing in our future starting projects where we should involve even our economy and the one of our most beloved beings to carry out our dreams, to keep cultivating our delusions. “The Duel” is an ironic and casual version of human arguments, where in some ocasions the smallest motives can explode into the most stupid of wars; where each one of our egos becomes the worst missile; and where the only thing standing is each other’s pride.

Giving a new twist to western “the Duel” intends to be a humble tribute to the films of this genre.

SYNOPSIS
A car comes to a clearing in a hidden place. A shot is heard inside. Two people in suits and sunglassess leave the car. They are armed. One is wounded. The other one is about to be. It just started “The Duel”.

FILMING
During the weekend on January 20th to 22nd, 2012, in the Island of Gran Canaria.

LOCATION
In “La Presa de Cuevas Blancas” in the municipality of Valsequillo.

The budget will be destined to the rental of the material needed for the filming:
    Lighting
    Sound
    Special Effects
    Props
