This book, web project and community aims to collect more than 100 Packraft routes with updated maps, flow information, recommendations and all the information necessary to enjoy the routes I have done as much or more than I do 🕺

This is a project that I am starting with great enthusiasm, hoping to start a new stage in my life in which I am trying to overcome a serious depression and a compromised work situation. Can we help each other? 🫂

Get exclusive rewards

The rewards from this campaign will be entirely allocated to the creation of the book in digital and paper format as well as to the creation and promotion of the packrafting.cat community.

About me

I'm Sergi Tur Badenas, a Packraft enthusiast. I'm spontaneously combusting, I'm up for a bombing and that's probably the reason why I always need to be near water to get an almost perfect balance 😜

Over the last two years (2022-24) I've been very into the Packraft thing! Since I saw a post on Instagram about Packraft in 2022, it was clear to me that this toy was made for me.

During 2022, 2023 and 2024 I have visited multiple countries with the packraft, met extraordinary people, visited meetups and festivals and seen very special places that were always in my dreams and I want to tell you this story with this project.

Right now, summer of 2024, an accident has stopped me for a while and I have set myself the challenge of first making a list of the rivers I have visited in recent years and then a book in digital and paper format. All routes and information will be updated on a website created specifically for this purpose 🕺.

What will I use your contributions for?

The money raised will be used exclusively for:

• Rivers of my life book. The packraft routes that have changed my life Creation of the digital and paper book where all the rivers, seas and lakes I've been to in recent years are described in detail.

• Web packrafting.cat: Creation and maintenance of the website, payment of the domain and server costs and administration of the same.

• Community promotion: The most important thing is that we can share and collaborate. I encourage you to participate and join the Packrafter community!

• Stay up to date: Blog, news, updated river data published in paper format.

• Updated maps: premium wikiloc service with all updated route maps, photos, information...

• Awareness. Safety and respect for the environment: The most important thing is to return home safe and sound and leave the environment even better than we found it.

Planned calendar

The objectives will be achieved in:

• September 2024: creation of the packrafting.cat website with a patron user and you will receive access to the table/spreadsheet with all the information already available on the rivers. This information will be updated throughout the project.

• June 2025: the book will be available in web and digital format (PDF).

• Christmas 2025: you will receive your copy of the book 🎅

What is Packrafting?

Basically, it is an inflatable kayak that weighs very little (about 2-5 kg) and that you can carry in a backpack or in your car, taking up very little space. Ideal for exploring the world! You can find more information on the Rowild website.
