Who are CLEMENTINA?
Everyone who rides the subway knows that it can be fertile ground for surprising stories and unexpected encounters, even starting a band!
On a day like any other Carlos got into one of the cars on Barcelona’s blue line. He has his guitar in hand and sits down two seats away from Gina, who is playing ukulele and humming a melody to kill time.
A couple of stops go by and Carlos stands up to leave.
Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!
The doors are about to close.
“Have you got Facebook?”, says Carlos. “Sure! I’m Gina Margarit!”.
That started a collaboration between two complete strangers: One, a Mexican based in Barcelona; the other, a Catalan living in the mountains of Montseny. After a year of further train journeys, daydreaming and a lot of hard work, we’ve got 9 songs that are just about ready to come out!
Now, WE ONLY NEED YOUR SUPPORT to make our project come to light!!
The album
A whimsical forest, the beach, the sun, the rain and the wind are natural elements present in our songs, which recreate lively journeys with fantastic intimacy.
Voice, guitar and ukulele are our base intruments but other friendly sounds such as Txarango, trumpet, bass or percussion can also be found on the recorded album.
As you can see, the album cover is almost finished! It’s an illustration, specially designed by Gina, which contains many elements present in our lyrics. If you want a hint as to what our unpublished songs are going to be like, just spend some time looking at it.
The CD will be released as a digipack (CD in cardboard packaging and booklet), which is elegant, more eco-friendly and doesn’t easily break.

How can you support us?
Verkami is a crowdfunding platform that helps realize projects like ours thanks to people like you: friends, collegues, aquaintances and strangers who believe in the project and invest in it with whatever amount they can. For the price of a lunch, a cinema ticket or a book, you’ll have the satisfaction of being the sponsors of a project done with love and tenacity + a big thank you + a fantastic reward! There are many to choose from!
Our goal is to raise 3800€ in order to cover PART of the project cost, but the more we raise, the more we’ll be able to do!
How do exactly crowdfunding and Verkami work?
Choose your reward and make a pledge with your bank card number.
From then on we’ll keep you updated with all the campaign news by email and you’ll be able to ask us any questions you may have about the project.
For 40 days, other Backers will be able to make their own pledges.
If we haven’t achieved our goal within the 40 day period, your pledge will be cancelled. In case we do raise 3800€, the bank transfers will become effective, the money will be withdrawn from your account and we’ll start working hard to have everything ready for the release!
What are we going to use your contributions for?
To pay for part of the disc costs: recording studio fees, mixing, mastering, editing, CD copies, etc.
When are you going to get your rewards?
The disc will be released in February 2017.
A few weeks before that, all our Backers will get access to the digital download in advance. As of February we’ll be able to send you the physical rewards (such as the CD) by mail and to let you know for which concerts in Barcelona you can get your two tickets. Apart from that, from that moment on we’ll be able to set a date and time for those of you who have chosen private concerts.
