Who we are

Dani Millán and Octavio Barrera, two young men born in the Canary Islands.

Living in Barcelona, we´ve had the opportunity to travel to a variety of countries, thanks to skateboarding, developing audiovisual projects. From these adventures an idea was born: to traverse and rediscover the Canary Islands.

Our idea

-

We´re going to return to the Canaries with a different outlook on life. The experiences that we´ve had have taught us to see the world with a new perspective. We´re planning on going to the most remote, least sought out places to meet the locals, learn their thoughts, how they live and to integrate ourselves into their cultures.

The objective

-

To share with the people of the Canary Islands and the rest of the world, a documentary, an idea; a group of young men who want to reunite to discover new places and to carry out a project that shows a way of discovering cultures through the eyes of the locals.

We want to motivate not only the younger generation but all of society to wake up and open their minds to new experiences. To learn from those experiences and to not let life pass them by.

Product

The main product will be a documentary (approximately 25 min.) featuring the best moments of the trip. We will create a DVD with extras and English subtitles. Also included on the DVD will be a photo gallery, a compilation of the best photos in the style of a traveling diary.

Throughout the filming Octavio Barrera will create a series of 7 fanzines-mini books, one for each island. They will depict his experience through photos and personal drawings.
