Clown Palace is a multimedia performance with prosthetic figures, live video projections, and stop motion animation projected on a semi transparent screen with live dance.
In the legacy of Alexander Calder’s circus, Clown palace uses new technologies to expand on the concept of the miniature circus. The miniature theatre is set in the center of the stage. Ballet interplays with stop motion images projected on semi transparent screens which cover the stage. All of this accompanies an original score.
Clown Palace comes alive in 60 minutes and is suitable for all audiences. It is primarily aimed at children, families and school groups, but anybody can enjoy the the mystical timeless story and the poetry of the images. The show works in theaters with a capacity of around 200 people.
Clown Palace was dreamed up and created by a team of young talents from around the world (Canada, Chile, the Netherlands, France, Spain and Andorra) for one year via internet. The plan is to bring it on tour around the world. Clown Palace will premiere September 13, 2014 in Les Fontetes Teatre, in the country of the Pyrenees -. Andorra
What will your contributions go towards
Your contributions will enable the show to arrive in your city on our 2015 tour. To do this, we need to cover a range of essential needs. We need to pay a professional puppet maker to make the puppets. We need to buy (trust us, renting is impossible) a very very high quality projector. We want to print a CD so you can relive memories of Clown Palace whenever you want! If we can overcome our objective, we will be extremely grateful and invest in improving the 2015 tour.
Timetable
The script, soundtrack, story board are ready. Choreography, video FX and prosthetics in progress and we are already recording, editing and preparing everything to start rehearsing in the theater of Les Fontetes from the 1st of September till the 10th. Show premiers September 13th at 21:00. Join the countdown!
