In the last few decades, Barcelona has stopped being a city for its inhabitants, to become a Brand: an "open business" metropolis , who's major interest is to privatize all common aspects of life in the city, through multinational investments.

** One city defined by big government corporate slogans and another woven by it's streets and people **

Street art, music and popular culture haven't escaped this corporate process. The local council, through it's "civil" statutes , forbids any spontaneous artistic expression in "it's" streets, seizing instruments and other artistic material.

We have made dozens of interviews with different artists, eighteen of which, were made in english, spanish, catalan, french, portuguese and bulgarian. We have directed a "participational observation" with the different collectives that shape it's prism. We have read the statutes, norms, citizens civil rights, edicts and official bulletins etc.. We also saw how it all effects it's citizens, it survivors, the average artist and the bigger figures that share their itinerant art between european and other cities.

On one side we are witnesses to the grand circus of the privatization of all aspects of public life, as if this were insufficient (witnessing the seizure and destruction of paintings, guitars, clarinets, accordions and even clown noses) we also are testimony to the animosity of certain agents towards the camera's eye and the changes that the system is trying to impose through retrograde legal restrictions that try to silence freedom of expression.

On different occasions they have tried to coerce us into turning off the camera, we have been I.D'd charged with disobedience and threatened with the possible seizing of our equipment, always under the guise of the supposed of "citizen's safety" act. They didn't manage to discourage us, on the contrary: our team did everything they possibly could to get the information out and help the collective of street artists to organize the struggle for the survival of their art.

This documentary seeks to draw public attention to this current social conflict to change it's reality: The "right to habitat" in a democratic system includes being able to practice and enjoy art in the street.
